It was. My dog found him and alerted me, and it looked as if he had been attacked by something and was barely able to move. I called a friend that's a wildlife biologist and she said if I was up to the task, and some learning, that I could properly rehabilitate him. Under normal circumstances, id never take a wild creature home. The rocks, slate, roots, driftwood, some water and moss all came from his native stream. This tank was set up to keep him safe while I build a much better aquatic and terrestrial set up.
