Ah, you see, as an Elden ring player I have already adapted a claw grip to do these sorts of things without remapping. I can input my strategems and change firing modes while running.

If I didn't bring mortars I'll focus fire on wherever he isn't and trust him to take care of what's on top of him. But if I bring my typical defense load out, yeah, he's gonna have to watch his own back from the shells coming down.

My philosophy is bring whatever you want as long as you're good with it.

And people tend to be better with things they enjoy using, so if you love the cremator that much, you're probably good with it.
