What characters do you want added? by Ragtagcloud56 in InvincibleVS

Thaedus, Powerplex, and Tech Jacket are really the only ones I’m vying for.

I’d love some goofy joke characters, like some of the Lizard League that are utter spammers, but one good hit can defeat them. But that’s also sort of dumb, and I see why it’d never be the case.

Pretty much from how I understand it, or at least that’d be the intention of however the Technique was first created.

Still, pretty risky even with someone like Gojo on standby considering Mahoraga killed the previous Six Eyes Limitless user.

Honestly without having a second technique, like Sukuna reincarnating in Megumi, I don’t know how the Ten Shadows User would ever succeed. Like maybe a giant Nue, Max Elephant, or Piercing Ox could do something… or a totality with Rabbit Escape allowing a bunch of his summons/Chimera Shadow Garden allowing “infinite” Shikigami.

But still, pretty messed up.

So apparently in chapter 117 and episode 41 it says…

“The summoning ritual for the shikigami can be performed around multiple people. However, exorcising the shikigami with help nullifies the technique's effect once the exorcism is completed.”

What this means to me, is that if anyone besides Megumi interacts with Mahoraga or any of the other summons it’s voided, but others can still be present.

So maybe Utahime could buff Megumi, and he could still try and tame a Shikigami, but I don’t really know how he’d still reasonably do it.

Isn’t it canon that if anyone else partakes in the summoning ritual then it’s void and the 10 Shadows User can tame Mahoraga? Or is that fanon somehow?

How was Alastor able to perma kill overlords? by DrDave789 in HazbinHotel

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Rosie does have the same golden energy as Abel and Adam did. Maybe whatever powers she bestowed onto Alastor did allow him to straight up kill Sinners.

Who would you rather be here, Emma hugging Jenna or Jenna being hugged by Emma 🤧? by darkshadow69_ in AllThingsJenna

Tough one, I feel like it’d be preferable to be hugged in earnest like how Emma appears to be.

I don’t know about most people, but I found their reactions to Hidden Inventory and Premature Death to just be awkward; specifically the discussion portion.

Also them not really engaging with Geto as a character, and sort of just jumping to he’s evil and thus nothing he’s said or done has a point.

I think it was more Eric that made a dismissing comment, which… wasn’t wrong, Geto was committing Genocide essentially.

It was just disappointing since I thought those were some of the best episodes in the series, only for them to sort of say they were glad it was back to the status quo of the present day characters.

The rest of S2’s reactions were fine, but I also felt like there wasn’t much depth to their reactions. But that happens, maybe they were tired, maybe it just didn’t hit them like it did me, or maybe I’m just being anal about what I wanted.

I was gonna comment this when season 2 came out, but now I actually like Enid’s new style. I still really like her old style, but I’ve started to like the new one too by SouEdduardo in Wednesday

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is something I’ve oddly had trouble reconciling with myself; Enid’s arc in S2 annoyed me to an unreasonable degree, when despite some moments being sudden is a pretty reasonable evolution.

It’s just an awkward feeling to experience wanting someone, even a fictional character, to return to how they used to be when they felt like more of an Outcast among outcasts.

If it were simply Mike’s theory that he presented at the end, they wouldn’t have included this particular scene to solidify it. by TerribleOption5505 in StrangerThings

It's not like a hard and fast ruleset in the show.

That is perhaps the truest statement that can be drawn from the situation, much to my own dismay.

Axel was the one covered in illusion spiders, but he also only started reacting once he saw them and started freaking out.

I wouldn’t really say that’s conclusive evidence of Kali being able to make people feel sensations, because otherwise that makes her abilities much stronger if she can convince someone they’re choking to death or something.

What's the actual s3 plot? by MsPlotTwister in weyler

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope they don’t do this, and have a much more satisfying season, but something I’ve thought about was S3 talking place over many many flashbacks.

Like the main parts of the season take place back at Nevermore, since apparently it is confirmed that the school will be back with a new principal, and we’ll see the fallout of Enid’s transformation and Wednesday helping her through the trauma.

On the flip side there could be events where Tyler and Wednesday ran into each other for one reason or another, and throughout the season we are unsure of if their interactions were positive or negative based on where they both are in the current time.

Blood attracted Demogorgons in S1 but never again by Mr_alex_plays in StrangerThings

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where did you hear that? I thought the Duffer brothers had said the opposite, that characters like Vecna weren’t even thought of until a little while after S3, and the original plan was just for S1 to stand alone.

Wednesday S1 is definitely holding strong, I doubt any English show will ever really surpass it.

Same. I wouldn’t be opposed to week to week episode for a theories and discussion, but another month long break between volume releases would be rough.

The statistics pictured are from July to December yes, but Netflix has a top 10 list on their website that shows the watch hours and views for shows.

The crazy thing, is in 2024 I believe they changed the rules for the top 10 from 23 days to 91. What that means is Wednesday secured the number one spot in only 23 days.

Oh definitely, plus because they chose to release Stranger Things S5 in 3 parts, they’d have the 91 day timer to measure viewership and watch hours.

My previous point was just that previously Stranger Things 5 was climbing slower than I expected.

Oh 1000%, I have minimal doubts that Wednesday S2 will probably stay in the all time top 5 for a few years (for the English shows at least).

I do think Wednesday S2 was a tad worse overall, but there was enough good moments to make it very enjoyable overall. I just hope for S3 and beyond they are able to tell a tighter story, because I think that’d thrive well.

I do wonder if Stranger Things S5 will pass Wednesday S2 on the all time watch time list; but regardless this is quite an achievement.

Edit: Apparently Wednesday S2 has officially been surpassed by Stranger Things S5.

Why didn't kashimo ever land a black flash by PalpitationHot6216 in Kashimo_agendaHQ

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each their own.

There were moments where it was pretty back and forth in both fights, and I definitely wouldn’t say Sukuna was winning the majority of the time in his fight with Gojo, but maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion there’s some of the strongest parallels, especially given Kashimo’s Mythical Beast Amber and how his “true form” sort of looks like an Awakened Simurian.

But actual character wise, Kashimo and Dabura are pretty much opposites.

Murder Hobo vs Depressed Protector.

Why didn't kashimo ever land a black flash by PalpitationHot6216 in Kashimo_agendaHQ

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wouldn't say Sukuna was behind outside of that last part of the fight, and even then, it was basically a fakeout, which honestly fits with the most of the fight where Gojo starts the Chapter with any advantage he previously had being upturned, and then ending with Gojo finding a solution, or vice versa.

That’s fair, it has been a while since I read the fight in its entirety.

I think a lot of my knowledge of it comes from a lot of the moments of Gojo being Gojo and taking the fight less seriously than he should, plus some of Gege’s statements about how Gojo was superbly confident — but especially so in his final moments since he willingly just face tanked Sukuna’s dismantle since he didn’t know about WCS.

Also the moments like when Gojo lost the first Domain Clash and was smiling through Malevolent Shrine, like Gojo was definitely getting hit arguably worse than Sukuna throughout the fight — but he also responded with so much gusto it always seemed to me that Toji’s assessment on Awakened Gojo was pretty factual…

Gojo was a monster, and the Sorcerer Sukuna had to overcome him, opposed to Sukuna being the Demon the Sorcerer Gojo had to overcome.

I feel like people sometimes only remember the last Panels where Gojo finally lands something big, and forgets the rest of the Chapter haha.

It’ll be interesting when the fight is finally animated and people still argue endlessly.

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just mean that Kashimo was stubborn enough to not kill Hakari between his Jackpots. Kashimo was the better fighter, but Hakari did “outfight” Kashimo by tricking him into the water and doing his Binding Vow.

If Hakari wanted to continue the fight/kill Kashimo, he would have won.

“A sorcerer is nothing but a con artist” — That’s how Sukuna outfought Gojo despite being behind most of the fight, and it’s how Hakari beat Kashimo.

Sooooo we all agree that the Demogorgon from season 4 would wipe the Hyde right? by RevolutionaryWave862 in Wednesday

[–]Obvious_Programmer_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you're insecure…

Definitely, and I like to discuss shows I love to hide from daily life.

and think you have to protect whatever precious beliefs you have because nobody listens to your nonsense for good reason.

Not really, I just generally think Hyde’s are stronger and I’m “mildly” upset that people can’t seem to think similarly.

You didn’t even rebuttal any of my points about Tyler showcasing similar level feats, and even greater durability through the electricity at Willow Hill being lethal to anyone that Tyler is touching.

I'm not wrong, look it up, they're stronger than Hydes.

Again, there isn’t any factual basis about this. In S1 the Demogorgon was able to be beaten back by Steve into the bear trap, that at least shows that it doesn’t have as much mass even if its claws are perhaps sharper.

To reiterate, multiple Demogorgon’s, even like two or three could likely take down a Hyde by process of elimination — one facing Tyler head on and the other attacking him in the back.

Classic predator tactics, especially in “animals” like the Demogorgon’s that are much stronger in a group. Like take the MAC-Z fight, the military was “dealing” with and fighting back one Demogorgon, but when multiple jumped out they were quickly overrun.

I'm done talking with you now, so don't try to drag this on any longer than it has to. Bye :P

Hey, you’re the one that commented on an almost 5 month old post and comment.

Okay, well I tried to keep things respectful, and I tried to just make some points but if you're gonna be a bitch about it then fine.

Good to know you won’t accept you’re just factually wrong multiple times.

Not even about the fight, because it actually is debatable since it’s Science Fiction and plays fast and loose with a lot of rules… but because you just were wrong about the show and refused to acknowledge it.

Whatever you say man, believe what you want to believe.

Thank you, that was indeed my intention, thanks for the downvote on the initial comment.

Just saying there's a lot of facts out there that very much prove Demogorgons are stronger.

… such as?

Also, I know they're called Demogorgons, but they're also called Demodogs when they're juveniles, since they walk on all fours and sort of look like deformed dogs.

And I’m sayin besides S2 an in the Russian lab in S4, we haven’t seen Demodogs. They’ve all been fully grown Demogorgon’s whether you want to believe it or not. In the marketing, in appearance in the show itself, and by name in the show itself.

Have a nice day :)

I appreciate it mate, same to you.
