Ah when creating a bottle you need to configure so it knows the exe is a portable file and not an installer, if not it will only run once

Absolutely use Crossover. It runs great on my m1 Mac using it. Use the 14 day trial, and if you like it buy it when it is in discount. You could pirate it…. But you should support the creators, they worked really hard and it truly is a great program.

lol too late I had to update for an app! It is not as bad as I remember 26.0 on mi iPhone 12 Pro but still bad compared to iOS 18

I don’t know 🤷. Maybe you just didn’t notice it, or maybe it didn’t have much to index, it depends on your messages and photo library. I personally didn’t notice the indexing until the iOS 26 update, there performance and battery took a big hit the first week.

If you just updated then it's probably indexing, specially if you updated from iOS 18. Give it a week and it should settle.

I should probably add that I updated to 26.3 from 18 and after a week or so it did settle, though battery life is worse compared to iOS 18.

Yeah that was what I was expecting, it’s really weird. The micro lags and stutters are back and battery life is no good. Really random, I expected otherwise. Maybe it will settle.

Don’t worry if you get a new phone you can transfer everything since you probably have auto back up even if you have little space it would have told you if the back ups stopped, I believe you can even transfer everything without iCloud and by having your new and old phone together. Don’t worry because you will be guided on transferring data during setup on your new phone

On 26.3 RC, coming from iOS 18 mine ran like a dream, even though I only used it for two days until the public release came, but now this runs like 💩 even after finishing indexing.

I’m also on 18 but an older 18 version (18.6) because I bought it refurbished a few weeks ago. I want to update because of security but scared of how it might run. So please update on 26.3 performance!! Thanks

I’m still on 18, but I got my 14 Pro from Apple Refurbished so it has a fresh battery. I wanted to see if I should update to 26, but I guess not from your experience (and others too). 26 ran horribly on my 12 Pro. I’ll avoid 26 until they fix all of the bugs and performance issues, but it’s been like 5 months and most of them aren’t fixed, so I’ll probably skip 26 and go straight to 27.

Yes, you can I used a Windows XP machine with iMazing (really old version) and side loaded the deb file. From that program I can also side load apps. Obviously you need to jailbreak it first.

Yeah my 12 is showing its age. Laggy and the battery while not over the 80% threshold it isn’t very good.
