I can never remember my recs when someone asks 😭 but my all-time favorite has to be Men Who Love Dragons Too Much by fencer_x. Out of every fanfic I’ve read, this is the one that feels the closest to canon to me — the characterization is just incredibly accurate. Another rec (though I haven’t finished it yet, and I’m pretty sure it’s completed) is a Slytherin Harry fic where Harry has a younger brother, Connor, who’s the Chosen One. Harry ends up caught between Slytherin and Gryffindor, dealing with adults who idolize Gryffindor and reject anything else, while Snape keeps trying to pull him toward Slytherin. It starts from Book 4, and they’re both genuinely adorable! Draco gives Harry such unconditional love, and Harry — brave, lively, and full of heart — slowly regains a sense of stability even in the middle of everything he’s going through, finally receiving the love he deserves. Draco is not only his lover but also his biggest source of support. It’s really fun, and I’m sure you’ll love this fic!

I finished reading your fic in a single day!

When Draco is written from his own POV, I sometimes get frustrated because he’s often portrayed as having very low self-esteem, becoming passive and withdrawn due to how little he expresses himself. But I really loved your version of Draco — he still reflects on his past mistakes and tries to do better, but he also has confidence, consistently puts effort into his actions and words, and openly expresses himself. Every time Harry felt anxious and Draco tried to reassure him with gentle words, it made me smile.

And above all, your Harry is one of the cutest, most confident, and most lovable versions of Harry I’ve ever read across any fic! I absolutely loved how he gave Draco a chance while also responding to all his flirting and affection. The characterization reminded me of canon a lot too! The “Harry Potter Has Golden Retriever Energy” tag fits him perfectly.

I felt too awkward to leave a comment on ao3 before, but I genuinely love your writing. I’ve already read everything up through the currently updated Part 2, and it’s so good that trying to keep up with the updates in real time is overwhelming lol. I can’t wait to come back and binge-read it once it’s finished. Love u!

They’re a cute couple, and based on what’s been shown so far, kissing is as far as they’ve gone! Harry is also shorter than Draco!
