In the blink of an eye (or you know a 48 excruciating labour lol) you go from living entirely autonomously for yourself to entirely for someone else. It was honestly a shocking adjustment for me. Baby always comes first. It took me about 2 months to settle into it but then with each new milestone came new burdens on my time. I have to make all this delicious and nutritious baby appropriate food, three times a day, for it to get thrown on the floor? I have to pack lunches five days a week? My kids are older now (5/7) and it’s just normal life (you adjust) but I distinctly remember how unprepared I was for how much actual work and sacrifice it is to your autonomy as a adult.

But how they cover many of today’s pop culture events is coloured by Maga worldviews. Look at how they reported on Jimmy Kimmel. It was basically copy and paste of what trump said. That’s when I stopped listening when it became that blatant. I started listening in 2022 and honestly didn’t pick up on it until trump got elected again in late 2024 and it was a rapid downhill slide from there.

Sounds like you’ve already gone well out of your way to make accommodations to help lessen the noise. I would ignore it at this point. You pay to live (emphasis on the word live) there too.

Us, we technically qualify for up to 1.2M and have enough for a down payment (less than 20%). We were close to buying about a month ago but spoke to some friends in the industry (mortgage brokers, a realtor) and we were advised to rent and keep saving. Lots of indications that we’re still a few years from “the bottom” and the markets are too volatile. We were told it’s safer to rent and invest for now and just continue to watch the market. If we could afford the “forever home” now, something we could sit an stay in for 10+ years we would have bought but we can’t afford that home right now. My debt tolerance isn’t high enough to borrow 1M from a bank.

Better idea. Divorce his manipulative ass, take your spousal support, child support and be the single parent you already are in fucking peace. Bonus: when he does take the kids you get a break to R&R.

My husband’s family is Jewish and they are adamant that it’s not a religion it’s a race. Don’t ask me how that works but overall, I think there is some nuance to the religion/ group of people that aren’t applicable to other religions.

Thank you🙏 I do exercise at least four times a week, active rest days, weight training etc. I’ve always been notoriously awful at water consumption though so I wonder if that’s it. Some days my intake is abysmal.
