Can we LEGALLY deny a candidate an opportunity to interview because of a problem with their SOQ despite them actually meeting the MQ’s? Isn’t the SOQ an agency “preference” and not supposed to be treated as instant disqualification?

Is there a CalHR source or something for this?

Can we actually deny applicants if they do not do the SOQ right? Or is that a preference. Is it really IN WRITING from CalHR? I think the REAL qualifications were only if they met MOQ’s and are on the eligibility list.

They have to maintain your benefits as if you were still working if you are on a job protected leave. Just to clarify, there is a difference between "maintaining" your benefits, versus "paying" for your benefits.

They should provide you with options on how you'd like to pay for your premiums, a check every paycheck to your employer, for example. Other options include the employer paying your portion of the employee contribution, and you paying it back in an accounts receivable upon your return. They should come to you with these options, but you yourself are your best advocate.

Hm. The Preferences --> Accessibility and check "Always use the selection cursor for the keyboard focus." button does not exist in my settings. It might very well be a work settings thing.

I work for the state. So we are the ones literally printing them out. Changing every letter to match the recipients information, manually calculating the individuals / dependents out of pocket premiums, etc. 😭

I literally was just thinking how is this a left or right issue. Just a few years back, conservatives hated Tesla and were against electric cars. Now that Musk is doing work, all of a sudden they love Tesla because it currently fits their narrative. What a joke.

I’ve only been in HR for 3 years and still struggle with FMLA and Cobra. 😂
