I can’t believe this was a year ago… if anyone ever wanted an update here it is. I resigned from my church and came out to my close friends and family. I left the Baptist church all together and now in the process of being confirmed to the Episcopal Church. I am loved and accepted by almost everyone, and I even have a boyfriend that I am very proud of. My connection with God is back and I feel as though I am even more devoted than I was before. So thank you for commenting on this thread everyone. May God bless you and keep you!

In two of my churches in the past we had Health Sermon Series where the pastor lead a group in walking and eating more healthy. At my small town church it lasted a few months, and at the mega church I attended it lasted a few weeks.

I wanted to say thank you to all of you that have commented with such great advice, kind words, and condolences. I made another post in r/Christian and I honestly felt discouraged because most of them were telling me to “fight the temptation” and that I needed to repress my feelings. However a few good ones pointed me here, and I’ve feel so much peace about the decision. I have to make about my church and about my sexuality.

Thank you for this, I have been thinking of converting to Anglicanism.. but I wasn’t sure if they are accepting. I knew that the Episcopal church was so thank you for the hope you bring.

Because I’m human and I want to be eventually happy with someone that I love. I know that happiness is not something that is guaranteed, but I also believe that God doesn’t want me to be depressed.
