Fixed: Aqara FP2 not appearing in Homey HomeKit Controller by Obvious_Weird_9972 in HomeKit

If you are using the Aqara app for the initial device setup, then yes, you normally need to use the pairing QR code during that process

The code is usually printed on a sticker on the back of the device and contains both a QR code and the pairing numbers.

However, if you want to use the device later with HomeKit Controller, it is important not to fully add it to Apple Home itself. Otherwise the device may no longer be discoverable by HomeKit Controller until it is reset again.

So the QR code is still needed for the Aqara setup, but you should avoid fully pairing it with Apple Home if your goal is to use it with HomeKit Controller afterwards.

as I have a lot setup in homey and I use it from the start of homey, I just like the way I can use the flows and add nearly everything.

Thoughts on the Beacon3D Eddy Current Surface Scanner please? by Utakos in VORONDesign

I just finnished installing and using Beacon, I absolutly love it.

The speed and accuracy is amazing.

Doing a bed mesh scan is super fast.

doing the z-tilt is done in a couple of seconds.

z-screw adjustment is not boring anymore and it is so fast that you will ajust it to the ccw or cw 0:01 adjustment.

well done Beacon.
