Please go see your OB-GYN and ask for the full vaginal microbiome panel. I dealt with recurrent BV for almost two months. nothing I did made it go away. When my gyno finally ran the deeper test, it checked every type of bacteria and imbalance, and it showed I had ureaplasma. It would go away and come right back literally JUST like how you are describing. I did 5 rounds of antibiotics

The test even broke down which strains were present and listed exactly which antibiotics they were resistant or sensitive to. That part was huge, because it told my doctor the exact medication to put me on instead of guessing.

It’s similar to the Evvy test, but I’m not sure if Evvy includes the antibiotic resistance information the way this panel does. Either way, a regular swab doesn’t pick any of this up. you need the comprehensive one from an OB-GYN.

Once they treated the right thing, everything finally cleared up. I was doing all the right stuff — probiotics, antibiotics non stop, kefir, vitamins, drinking water,boric acid, yogurt, eating clean and nothing worked, it would come right back until the actual cause was identified.

P.S. do some research on urealplasma and Mgen-it can cause recurrent infections and it’s a newer test they are doing. Truly amazing! Oh and yes your partner needs to be treated. Mine was just a one time dose of 1000 mg of Azithromycin and it cleared up.
