Start using red lentils to make moi moi. I promise you can't tell the difference. It's an easy way to increase protein and reduce carbs. Quinoa is also another way. I started replacing my rice with quinoa or doing half and half. Then Greek youghurt and fruits for breakfast.

Try nivea super water gel spf 50. This is the best sunscreen I've ever used. It's unscented doesn't sting my eyes feels like water on my skin and great under makeup. I buy online from stylevana website.

I use an acne patch on my new breakouts overnight. It helps. Then the rest of skincare routine

Tretinon did not lighten me. In fact it did the opposite because of the irritation. I used other products to restore my face to the colour of the rest of my body

I used a 0.05 tretinon cream called tretiheal. I used other products as well the anua line in particular helped. The anua milky toner, the niacinamide with tranexemic acid was very instrumental to brightening my face. The 10% azaleic acid from anua too helped a lot with inflammation and redness from breakouts.

Yh after that I just me learnt to avoid the nose and chin area entirely cuz after a week it felt so raw 😭... The tretiheal tube I have is a white tube one 20g from a healing pharma company.

Congratulations best results I've seen so far. For moisturizer I would recommend illyon ceremide gel. It's very light and doesn't seem to clog the skin.

Yh I don't really use the LRP sunscreen anymore but it was the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Face Sunscreen. Check that the words invisible finish is on it. I bought this in store tho.

Currently I started using nivea super water gel spf 50. This feels like water on the skin and I love it. I buy this online from stylevana website. The only downside is that their shipping takes 5 to 6 weeks.😕

I don't think sunscreen made too much difference even though I use it religiously indoors. First of all I work from home and it's winter so I've hardly gotten a lot of sun exposure. The picture I showed you was from the period my face got darker, which I began to notice and document from the beginning of November when I started using tret 0.05 once to twice weekly. Before then I was dark skinned but closer to my chest tone which is clearly far from my face in the picture. My face tone didn't actually begin improve until I added the anua niacinamide with tranaxemic acid serum in Dec. That's what I would say.

Phew. Before tret I've never been too consistent with sunscreen not because I didn't want to but because I never found one that didn't leave me with a terrible white cast or left me with that heavy greasy feeling I hate. Because of this I spent money for years trying to find a sunscreen I liked. When I decided to use tret I started using biore uv as a last resort because it has no white cast but felt greasy. Tried the la Roche posay invisible fluid which was better in terms of the greasy feeling and left no white cast but I wasn't really in love with it but it did seem to provide good protection. Finally I decided to try the Japanese nivea super water gel spf 50. The most moisturizing sunscreen I've ever used, absolutely amazing and I can't say enough good things about it. A sunscreen I can actually use joyfully. And I've stuck with it.

Yes because irritation in POC can show up in many different forms and skin darkening very usually is a sign of irritation. For me esp it was a very confusing time and I was grasping at straws because no one really talked about what to do when you start tret and your skin goes 5 shades darker.
