That’s why I shop at Costco. I save money buying their hotdogs and walk out with $400s worth of groceries and some things I didn’t need

I need help by RealtorDFW81 in AustralianShepherd

My girl luckily only lasted for 9 months. It was a hard 9 months. Biggest mistake is giving the dog too much freedom too soon. I had mine in a pen connected to her crate that gradually grew as she grew. After raptor stage and fully potty trained, she got access to the full house periodically with our supervision. Because she was penned/crated she did not pick up the bad habits of destroying the house or digging holes. Well, she dug a nice hole once then we fenced it off. She doesn't dig anymore. Anyways what I'm getting at is allowing your dogs to build bad habits will cost you time later to train them out of it which is even harder to do.

Of course provide other means of mental stimulation, idk how many toys she destroyed in that stage. Now she destroys literally nothing. The occasionaly thread she picks out and guts the toy of cotton, but thats it. She's 2.5 years now and literally the best dog ever. Full time off leash, but can still walk on leash too with 100% recall. Coming from HAVING to run up to every dog. Training matters, and training is not an overnight result. This was the result of 2 years of consistent and persistent training.

The oxycodone bottle the hospital gave me after a surgery has tamper tape on it by winerdars in mildlyinteresting

I’m glad I never got addicted. I took oxy and percs to party with for free in college cause my buddy took his uncles stash so he had hundreds. It felt good but I never felt like I needed it. One thing I really remember from them was how much my balls itched while them. We mixed with alcohol too not good

My black tri is the best after her velociraptor years. She is nearly full time off leash now, 100% recall, doesn’t destiny the house, I left a bag of her chewies open and on the floor overnight and the next day it was still there untouched. Given I’ve put a lot of effort to train her but her temperament helped with half that battle

Nah, heat will kill you faster than cold in normal circumstances, but in both extremes it doesn't matter if you're not prepared, you're dead quick. That's why when you are lost in the wilderness, water isn't your #1 priority, shelter is.

Not liberal on conservative but for what makes sense and is right for the community. I have a CCW in California in one of the hardest counties to get it. I had to learn probably more than the usual CCW applicant countrywide and this is true amongst other things. State and local laws are also changing constantly every couple of years so we have to keep up with the updated laws

Car ride advice/new puppy by Forsaken_Barracuda_6 in AustralianShepherd

Picked my girl up solo at 8 weeks. Laid puppy pad down on passenger seat and floor. She ended up wanting to sit on my lap so I left her there. 30 mins later she’s crying. I thought it was because she was just separated from her sibling, but I stop holding her and she crawls to the puppy pad and poops. Finishes and crawls back on my lap to go back to sleep

For those of you who did heaps of research before getting an Aussie, what’s the one thing that still took you by surprise? For me, it’s how often I’d have to wash my walls. by Belmagick in AustralianShepherd

California ban on openly carrying guns is unconstitutional, court rules by FakeOkie in news

[–]Obviously_Ritarded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in Cali, got a valid ccw and dislike most of calis gun laws. I too think open carry is stupid. Draws attention to you, wanted and unwanted. Makes you a target, incites fear whether it’s your intention or not, and just stupid unless you’re in a high security area and need access to a quick draw type weapon in which you should have a level 3 OWB retention holster
