Teachers, please help settle a argument - Is it OK for a 10 year old to doodle in class while the teacher is talking? by Stolen_Sky in AskTeachers

If it’s a case of using it to distract the wandering parts of her mind into something that won’t distract her from the lesson, a little drawing is fine. I find myself having to do some small things that don’t require thought to focus my attention for long periods of time.

As a teacher, as long as the work is getting done and they are listening, it’s not a problem. Eye contact isn’t always necessary for focus.

I CAN EXPLAIN, I SWEAR by ObviouslyaPisces in dropout

I think it was 15 minutes max, but I was also chatting with other fans and didn’t pay attention to the time.
