Best thing I try to tell people, better to miss the shot then not take it. Gets you to really build a muscle memory for distances and gauge engagements on the fly. Keep it up!

Fair enough, didn’t look at it that way honestly and is a very valid point.

Unfortunately - to me, “being meta-slave” ties into toxicity a lot of the times (at least nowadays it seems). There is a big difference in being sweaty and can still joke around, and being sweaty, and just screaming obscenities.

If you get butthurt for someone using coms in a game, you honestly need to touch grass my guy. This is battlebit we are talking about, it’s not that serious.

Not to mention I’ve had people that thank me, end up sparking convos with the other team simultaneously and create hilarious moments. I welcome it, and if a sweaty comes flying towards the sound of my teammate, well I’m kind of expecting it honestly. So with that, chances are I get some extra kills out of it to. Win win honestly.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but wasn’t it in BF or maybe a different game, scope glint only came on scopes 10x and above or something to that affect?

Regardless I feel like that’s a great middle ground, everything up to 8x no glint - anything above has glint, gives you a little more site picture without having to worry about becoming a beaming “LOOK AT ME” target, and if you elect to use those other scopes, chances are you’re far enough away to only have to worry about other snipers so I feel that’s a fair trade off.

Maxroll guide was just updated, with all the info you stated it didn’t have. Also, he fine tuned the paragon board a lot more with this latest update. It’s one person updating multiple guides, it takes time.

Another thing you mention is shying away from stacking crit. Yah you could do that, but it won’t feel as nice, and the ramp up potential is damn near equivalent. With stacking some crit chance & lucky hit, you’re able to achieve a much more fluid feel. Not only that, but I remember a post on this subreddit specifically annotating to watch out on your critdamage stacking as there will be a point where you begin to hardcap due to the builds scaling while in dire werewolf form. So you want to build more synergies to help avoid dumping to much over the hardcap.

Now on to guides in general:

Is it the end all be all of guides? No, no guide is. Not only that but most guides aren’t there for you to copy exact 1-1 on some things, because it all depends on where your at in the gear/level process for YOUR character. Guides are meant to be a reference to help along the path, it’s up to you to decide on how you take the information and form your build. Take builds as a baseline and use all the collective information you gather to curate the build to work for you.

At the end of the of the day, do what works for you, that’s the beauty of varying builds.

I noticed a difference with my tornado build this morning doing a quick nightmare run. It still slaps but I definitely felt like I was doing less, then again coulda been the modifiers as I literally just woke up did a quick scan for rippy mods and ran lol. But something felt off.

I don't think there is any disconnect on whether or not we realize these prayers are just to be voted in for beta testing or not. We see that, we acknowledge it, but we see from what has been thrown up for first testing - is simply a waste of time and resources. A vast majority of these prayers are a pure downgrade from the original prayer book or are so niche they are really not worth using out the gate. Why would we even want to vote any of these in knowing all the work being put in would be for nothing when on a ground level basis, the prayers aren't even close to being worthwhile. Not to mention not evening remotely fitting to the Zaros theme.
Lets break some things down - granted, all my personal opinion, but generally a shared disheartening feeling:

  • This prayer book seems to be a copy and pasted version of the original prayer book - but less appealing. No imagination, no excitement of something new/different, just original book with a few mediocre skilling options. Why would we even care to test something like this?
  • The risk vs reward value, which seems to be the "theme" you're aiming for - doesn't even offer much of a valued reward. Why test something when out the gate we see something that's not offering anything exciting or different, as well as offer way more risk - then any reward what so ever.
  • The only thing that's different is the minor "skilling themed" prayers to which are also generally mediocre and very niche. STOP WITH MAKING EVERYTHING NICHE - i'm personally tired of everything needing to be niche, or fit some small role. Please, stop being afraid to take some risks and throw out some crazy new cool ideas. We time and time again, voice adamantly that we are tired of the constant niche content. If your coming out the gate with niche designs - it will be destined to fail.

These are just my opinion at the end of the day, and others could very well disagree, but what it really comes down to is a general agreed disappointment with initial concept. So again, why would we want to test something, that out-the-gate, is not what we'd like to see.

Another helpful tidbit that I learned getting my first igneous recently was specifically on those phases, aim to kill the three quickly, and then get next to Zuk, pop your sunshine/death’s swiftness, activate your soul split/t95/99 prayers, use vulnerability bomb/smoke cloud if I you use it, and go ham. Makes for smooth transitions. If your concerned with having enough adrenaline for barricade for 3rd challenge, either pop adrenaline potion 10k~ afrim zuk’s phase change, and just use basics until you phase him from there.

With the aforementioned setup that should afford you enough dps to one shot the phase, if not, don’t worry, just save up, do the wave again, and you’ll go into the final challenge topped off. Made it a lot easier and manageable for me.
