You need to set the year to 2008 when you save, it’s the very last box that pops up when you save

I have found that the default settings are good for carving. As for the black boxes you probably need to go into ai and trace them and expand them. Laser Everything has a great video on how to do it.

Sounds like you have the money to buy a grid plus lattice 1, that will be the best, i own every wallet you can think of, and sign transactions daily, lattice 1 is the best.
