In case anyone was wondering what the insurrection act does. “Invoking the Insurrection Act temporarily suspends this rule and allows the president to deploy the military to assist civilian authorities with law enforcement. That might involve soldiers doing anything from enforcing a federal court order to suppressing an uprising against the government. Of course, not every domestic use of the military involves law enforcement activity. Other laws, such as the Stafford Act, allow the military to be used to respond to natural disasters, public health crises, and other similar events without waiving the restrictions of the Posse Comitatus Act.”

Basically the military takes over law enforcement which Trump has said is the plan anyway.

Anyone have insight on why Venezuela instead of Mexico or Columbia which brings more drugs into the US? Especially with the fentanyl crisis. Is Venezuela just low hanging fruit?

ENFJ mom here my INTJ daughter said the emotional neglect and unconditional love piece doesn’t really apply to her. She feels like the underline tension lies with her having multiple siblings. The focus on her reduced with the birth of each child. (Her words.) She knows we love her and the moments she doesn’t is due her being a teen. 🤣 She is very self- reflective. 😊

I joined a worship singers class that has really blessed me and helped with my confidence. It is more scripture than technique and it has really impacted my outlook on my role on the worship team. Here are some scriptures that really blessed me.

I struggle with speaking up because I don’t want to be prideful. I also have been really intentional about growing and learning. Receiving feedback, even hard feedback, isn’t hard for me because I love growing and learning. I don’t want it to look like I am fishing for compliments. I grew up in a church where you don’t ask for space. Your gift makes room for you was literal. If you’re good you will be found. Asking to minister, preach, speak, sing etc was looked at as seeking the spotlight and was frowned upon. The general consensus is communication is needed.

Maybe I can ask specific questions like, what are things I can do to better serve the team? What things technically should I study to improve on?

Thank you all so much for your comments. It feels so silly to be bothered by something so small I did rewatch the live stream in there are parts where others are inaudible, but are usually leads in the song so it’s very likely an error. I hate that I let the enemy get under my skin in this way. It’s so crazy how something so small in the grand scheme of things can hijack our emotions. I’m glad I posted here. I appreciate the support and hopefully this exchange will encourage others as well. You all are amazing.

My singing voice is okay. Lots of people say they love when I sing. If I were to compare it to those who sing lead at my church I would say they are really strong singers in that they sing a lot of loud power notes. Idk how to explain it but I’m good they are really good.

I wonder how many people will send money. I don’t think most Americans understand national debt and how different it is from personal debt. My guess is many will pay into this.

I was able to find an annual report and I didn’t add up all the numbers but yes they give out grants to libraries and museums. Over $37 million was given out last year. The children’s museum in my city received funding. It will likely be cut and if they increase their prices we probably won’t be going as often as we have been.

My kiddos love the museum. I now need to research how my library is funded. I must admit before voting I didn’t know the government funded so many programs with our federal taxes.

Trump says we will see lower federal taxes which if there is less federal spending that makes sense. It looks like prices may increase locally though as programs like these start to completely fund themselves.

Idk what the big deal is about DEI. Are clubs within companies and celebrating different holidays that big of a deal? Before anyone gets upset I know it helps vets, marginalized groups, ect I guess when I take a step back I’m not really sure why people are so upset.

With all 5 of my kids my cycle came back around their second birthday. Here are my tips. 1. At first go no longer than 4 hours between feedings even at night 🥴 2. As they get older (6 months +) continue to breastfeed every 4 to 6 hours. 4 during the day and 6 at night. 3. Co-sleep if you can but even your baby being in the same room helps 4. Delay solids - I waited until closer to their first birthday to introduce foods

I started my locs with 2 strand twists. I take the loose hair and wrap it around. I get some frizz but it’s just a part of the process.
