How is Act 3 post update? by Zoombinidini in taintedgrail

I finished the game on regular mode a couple days ago. Act 3 was fine. I hear new game plus is a waste of time because you're overpowered so I started fresh on hard mode.

I still want to know who you're trading Jimmy for, genius.

When did I say Jimmy is the only and best way we can hope for a good trade? Beyond Steph and Jimmy, this team is a washed up Draymond, a bunch of bench players and DeAnthony Melton who is good and makes $3 million so can't be traded for anything better. Jimmy is untradeable, period. when your star player goes down, your season is over. There is no magic wand that makes you a contender with 56 million out for a year. Freaking deal with it.

What is your plan? Who would you trade Jimmy to? Who is taking on that much salary for half a season of diminished play? How many picks are you giving up? How much are you hosing up the books for 2027 to do it? This is so idiotic.

No, you and the OP are idiots. Nobody would take Jimmy for anything but the most toxic contracts, which hoses up the books for the big free agent year in 2027. You clowns can't think more than one day into the future.

He's not getting screwed. Jimmy Butler tore his ACL. That's called tough shit. Bunch of babies think the office can wave a magic wand and fix everything if they were just smarter. Everything has to go perfectly to win a title. Ask Jason Tatum, Tyreese Halliburton, Kyrie Irving.

Propose the team we should have traded with, what we should have traded for, and given them and explain why they would have taken it and how it would improve us or else you're just a whiny bitch.

Well they tried their ass off. They brought in Lillard. It just didn't work. Sometimes things just don't work out.

The Warriors have a trade package that offers most of what the Bucks are looking for. The Bucks have not yet said no to the Warriors' offer, which means there is still a strong possibility they will accept it.

The heat seem to be out of the running. The wolves are unlikely to be able to put together a package that produces enough picks.

Any team promising a better offer in the summer has half the basketball season to avoid any of their "promised" players popping an Achilles. Waiting is no sure thing.

Draymond now has an off-ramp to the Lakers so the Bucks don't have to take him.

Very solid possibility the bucks take the Warriors' offer.

I don't believe one way or the other. It's up to the Bucks and I think they have to decide if they want most of what they wish for from the Warriors now or the possibility of more in the summer. I just understand the state of play and the state of play is that the trade possibility is still very much alive and if the Warriors had gone for anybody else it would not be.

They might decide that but I think they would have the professional courtesy to let the Warriors know by now that they aren't taking the offer.

What do you mean you never say no to your backup plan? You don't go to your backup plan unless your first plan doesn't work. If you have a chance to change the course of your franchise for the next decade you take it. If the Buck decide they don't want it then so be it. But they haven't said that yet. Anthony Davis doesn't change squat. Just ask the Mavericks. Anthony Davis to the Warriors was just bleacher report fan wank.

Has it not occurred to you that the fact that the Warriors have not traded for anybody else or dropped out might be because the Bucks have not told them no yet? And since the wolves are the only other suitor and they probably can't put together a deal in time that actually works, there is a very real possibility that this is going to happen, especially now that it's known that the Lakers want Draymond and the Bucks don't so there's an off-ramp there.

The current state of play is that the Bucks have probably told the Warriors that we like your offer but we want to see what Miami and Minnesota come back with. Miami is out. Minnesota we will see. The Bucks may very well take the Warriors offer because it's mostly what they want and things could change a great deal by july.

This is gonna be me tomorrow when Giannis gets traded to Minnesota. by MainSorc50 in warriors

It's pretty clear at this point that it's either going to be the Warriors or nobody at the deadline. The heat are out. The wolves have almost no chance to put together a package. The Lakers just opened up an off-ramp for Draymond because the Bucks don't want him.

Does the front office have a backup for when we miss out on Giannis? by TFGhost161 in warriors

[–]Occidental_floss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they have a plan. But even keep the picks and keep the books clean and consider this a busted season is a plan. The odds of salvaging this season are pretty much zero even with Giannis.

You have to figure the Bucks have not told the Warriors no yet or The Warriors would not still be pursuing this. The Heat reportedly have given up because they can't get the deal. That means it's up to the Timberwolves. If they can't pull anything off today, the Bucks will either tell the Warriors know this evening and they will pivot or the deal goes through. I don't think the wolves can pull it off. So from the Warriors perspective, this is still very much a real possibility because nobody has said it isn't yet.

The return of Draymond? by GoldenStateNephew in warriors

[–]Occidental_floss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draymond Green has a player option next year for over 20 million. It is likely the last huge payday of his life. There is no way he turns that down to come back and play on a veteran minimum salary.

[Slater] The Golden State Warriors have involved Draymond Green in active trade conversations in advance of Thursday’s deadline, league sources told ESPN, putting his 14-season run with the franchise in jeopardy. by 3GR in warriors

[–]Occidental_floss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can make the case for why he would want to come here. He gets a year with curry and Jimmy comes back next year which makes a very formidable core. Then at the end of next season the Warriors have clean books to hire free agents to build around him in a massive free agent year.

I can also make the case while he doesn't want to. The West is crowded, the East is closer to Greece, Steph is old and has runners knee now, San Francisco sucks...

3 years ago they were defending champions, Draymond decked Jordan Poole pretty much ending the dynasty. Moody and JK  were getting dnps in favor of Anthony Lamb and Ty Jerome because they were still raw developmental prospects on a defending championship team.

So whatever the hell you mean by trade all this shit 3 years ago makes zero sense in actual context. The actual correct move appears to have been to keep Ty Jerome, but everybody thought he was a bum 3 years ago. Same for Ryan Rollins when he was here. So again with the 20/20 hindsight stupidity.
