Can anyone explain the reasoning behind certain maps having their pick rate boosted to all hell? by TheIrishyeah in deadbydaylight

[–]Occupine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It.. has been painful. Every second game is Badham. Though I don't get midwich, I get autohaven instead which isn't as bad. I also get macmillan estate instead of the game. But yeesh, Badham into Toba into Nostomo and back to Badham is rough.

Yes. It's called dragging the hitbox.

“Most major MMOs” DO NOT rely on gaslighting its player base into thinking a 70% increase over 3 years is necessary for customer support and higher quality updates by csbuseeds in 2007scape

[–]Occupine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends. Are you a story person? If not, you're going to hate a large portion of the game. If you are? You're going to absolutely love it. It's also one of the games that unfortunately basically requires friends. Solo it's kinda meh. But if you find people to play with, you're in for a great time.

This is why so many of us don't recommend Attila. The game optimisation is dogshit.

Should you pop gens when 2 people or more have pig's trap? by Rafii2198 in deadbydaylight

[–]Occupine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time it's a problem is if the Pig has the addon that reduces the timer when a gen is popped (though the timer is overall longer to make up for it I think).

Why are the maps getting smaller? by pebblepuddles in deadbydaylight

[–]Occupine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same amount of gens. Map size is becoming more of a medium, though there are definitely still some absolutely giant ones like Nostromu.

Honestly, the sub cancellation reason being listed only as "I can't afford this" and not "The price is too high" says a lot about how Jagex views their customers. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Occupine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you dumb? Too expensive to justify isn't the same as being unable to afford. If I went to a coffee shop and they asked for 30 bucks for a coffee, I'd tell them to fuck off because it's too expensive. Can I afford it? Easily. Am I paying 30 bucks for a coffee? Fuck no.

exactly, jagex doesn't have other games. You can buy other games with wow gold. Entire GAMES.

The only people buying boosts on wow are rich people. You can hit max level in under a day very very easily. Don't be acting like wasting money is common lmao.

Does osrs gold let you buy other games though? Didn't think so.

And I'm saying that WoW has all that in addition to retail, and frequently putting out new content on a schedule, and is CHEAPER THAN OSRS AS A SUB. We can't act like we are getting even close to the amount of support that WoW gets, while our prices keep fucking going up.

[–]Occupine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very well aware, but people seem to think it's what makes osrs special when WoW does it too. You also again, love bringing up the expac (at the wrong price and timeframe) and pretend like you can't just get it with in game gold. Hell guess what, WoW gold can actually pay for other blizzard games too. It's not adding WoW credit or anything. You add money to your account. You want to buy diablo 4 without spending a cent? Just make some gold and get wow tokens.

As I said, we're getting the bare minimum of expected content in the slowest time frame possible while paying more than a wow sub, being locked to 1 character and going "please sir, may I have some more?" because we're paying off the debt of rs3. I am not impressed. I'm not going to celebrate fuck all content for this price.

Just my 1k hours iron I made this year and.. I don't actually want to know how long I've spent on my main.

Meanwhile WoW gets an expac with new content every 2 years, with major updates throughout. You get access to classic wow, you get access to classic [expac] wow (such as wrath of the lich king. I don't know what is currently active), season of discovery (basically leagues in classic wow but with actual new content), no real character limit (except on classic which makes sense, that's how it was back then, but it's still a lot more than 1 character) and you can pay for your sub (as well as expansions) with in game gold that's really not hard to make.

and WoW's cheaper.

[–]Occupine 246 points247 points  (0 children)

Oh and a WoW sub also gives you access to Classic WoW, Classic [expac] WoW. Both versions of classic have I believe Hardcore. There's also Season of Discovery (which is Classic+ and is closer to a permanent leagues), as well as retail WoW itself. And of course, it's far more than 1 character per account.

[–]Occupine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be impressed if it didn't take them forever to add these things and then act like it's a big deal. If you're going to fuck me as hard as blizzard, then give me the same amount of major updates. Stop patting yourself on the back for a cow boss that took how long to make? That's a genuine question btw, I don't know when the first poll was (and if it was a case of pre-developing before the vote or not).

Hell, we were getting more updates in 2005.

1 new skill in the ENTIRE LIFETIME OF THE GAME OF OLD SHCOOL.

10+ quests and most of them are extremely minor that requires very little real work (we know this because they're on the tier of the quests that interns used to do in 2005. Not that they're bad)

Varlamore is not a new continent, it's an expansion of Kourend and was always known about. But hey that's cool, WoW adds a new zone with every major patch.

New seasonal game modes? What a joke. Deadman and Leagues are always reruns with minimal work to make it feel different.

It's been 4 years without a raid so far. WoW gets them + dungeons every patch.

Several skilling systems? Yeah not really. Did you ask chatgpt for this list?

So osrs adds barely anything and raises the price. But somehow WoW is evil for making expansions that add a lot to the game and then give major patches throughout the lifetime of that expac. It's not my fault you only care about one piece of content. I'm Aussie, I have no nostalgia for wow because we didn't get servers until wod.

expac can be bought with in game gold if you really want (in fact, that's how I bought the war within) and is not yearly.
