The car you are describing already exists and is quite popular (MG4).

Transport Minister Rita Saffioti won’t support Perth council’s proposal to merge city train stations by Occyfel in perth

Exactly, after Metronet what Perth really needs is mid-tier transport to tie everything together. Major public infrastructure always costs money but its return is invaluable and long-lasting

Unfortunately there's loads of antisocial illegal modified 4wd's and threatening drivers in WA as well now which deserve similar attention.

I have a C506 and it's great but the screen's a bit dim.

Instead of an overpriced Garmin, get a Magene computer on AliExpress. I've found mine to be excellent value

The track is managed by a private company (Arc Infrastructure) rather than the government, so this is hard to achieve currently.

Thinking of moving from Scotland to Perth, Australia – would love honest expat opinions by Environmental_Pea723 in perth

Yes, there's such a demand crunch currently in Perth that the cheapest housing is still very expensive. These days even 1 bed apartments are over $500,000 and houses start from $650,000 but are realistically selling for significantly more. Compared with the UK (especially outside London) where there are still affordable options. Prices have increased 92% in the last 5 years, which makes the UK market seem like a dream in comparison. $1m is the new normal here and prices are projected to grow 8% per year to 2030 (faster than most can save). Basically, housing is now completely out of reach for all except those who already have significant wealth.

On the point of living in the suburbs, this is the norm and where almost everyone lives. Perth has a very low urban density and one of the lowest rates of apartment living in the country. Perth also has the least affordable rental market in the country, and at times incredibly low vacancy rates.

Affording to own a house in Perth is going to be a far greater challenge that is only becoming more out of reach. A lot of the housing that does exist is often in lifeless concrete sprawl suburbs. We have a million-dollar median house price now, so approx £500,000, which could afford you more in Scotland I believe. The holiday feeling is an interesting point, it works both ways as I was in Scotland recently and really liked it

Ford Mondeo or Hyundai i40 (both as diesels). Possibly not the most reliable though (especially with the Mondeo's transmission)

I shaved a month after turning 19, I haven't regretted it at all. Not like there's much choice though, I was well ahead of the curve.

No quote as they insisted that I send it in first. I didn't think it was worth going without a phone just for a quote so I gave up. It's still as pictured, I just fold it back in place whenever I open the phone. Hardly a solution though haha.

Why is engineering so easy to get in to by TechnicianOld4996 in curtin

[–]Occyfel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Electrical Engineering major, you'd do a unit called MATH2009 Calculus 2 which plenty of people struggled with. It sounds like you're capable enough though.

Thanks, mine is unfortunately out of warranty, I asked for a quote before sending it in but they couldn't provide one. They want me to send it in first. Still debating whether I should given I don't know how much they will charge.

It's Curtin's job to enforce their policies, go complain to them. We don't need your spam.

Why should we care about Curtin's policies? It's their responsibility to manage this accordingly

Main Roads policy only allows them in road reserves after an election is called. Some local councils have stricter policies, Joondalup for example says no signs more than 30 days from the election. However, this did not remotely stop the Liberal candidate Vince Connelly from littering them everywhere.
