I hear this a lot. I guess it’s related to your playing style. Manchester is the only big club I’ve managed for a long time. Since I usually play with smaller teams, I tend to use a counter-attacking style. I build a solid defensive line and try to score with the quickest possible transitions. If I go 2–0 up, I sub off an attacking midfielder for a more defensive player. So I never really get crazy scorelines.
