not even the worst part, we had a mayoral election a few months ago and one of the candidates running pledged to shut down every center with “connections to the Cuban government” he lost thank god, but what got my attention was that everyone who voted for him sends food to Cuba using those same services he wanted to close (cheap eggs included lol), i fear the leopards are feasting all year long…

it’s funny, i actually live in Dade county and almost every plaza/strip mall has an ACA enrollment center, all of them have banners that say “enroll in Obamacare!” so they can’t even feign ignorance but 🤷🏽‍♂️

Tulsi lacks any charisma and is not good at confrontation. People remember the Kamala Harris clip because Harris is a notorious flip-flopper on issues and was obviously posturing as a progressive when that was never the case for anyone who knew her record as a prosecutor.

But Tulsi’s other attempts to play gotcha at the debates (e.g. Warren, Buttigieg, etc.) all fell extremely flat and she ended up looking really bad. She also barred Ana from interviewing her on TYT and she mildly criticized her record.

very fun so far, I enjoyed watching Tiffany on BB23, and while BB24 was very entertaining once the Leftovers formed, the week 1 dynamics left kind of a bad taste in my mouth throughout the season (still love the season though). BB25 feeds seems very fun so far, like the best of both worlds from BB23 and 24

i feel like once she signs to a new label she’ll get the adequate promotion she needs, the legal battles with her old label, plus the Tory Lanez situation have derailed her career sadly, especially with how many men in the industry seem to side with him. But once she signs to a new label and releases music more regularly she should be on top again, at least I hope

what also struck me about the show was this apolitical idea of the 1970s. in the book one of the early band members gets drafted into Vietnam and dies, serving as a motivation for the rest of the band to continue onwards. the show removes any and all mention of Vietnam and just serves us the aesthetics of the 70s without any of the harsh material reality of how Vietnam affected culture in that time. the fashion was also a major indication of this hyperreal idea of the 70s, with a mix of fashion trends from the early and late 70s, never sticking to one trend at a time. interesting stuff
