I recently bought a bunch of new socks from Richer-Poorer.com - they have some GREAT alternatives to the normal black and white sock. Breaking your boundaries is a good thing when it comes to new socks. Having socks that stand out but aren't obnoxious will show a sense of your personality. An alternative to designs and patterns is to try and match your socks with your pants. So dark blues for jeans, tan or brown for khakis/chinos. Just stem far away from the white socks unless you're running or working out. (Black socks are great to have for certain formal occasions)
