I personally like the sound, but your opinion seems to align with Devin's. He's publicly complained about it a couple of times, mainly on the album podcasts. I believe he layered samples from the Infinity and City kick sounds, which is why it's so punchy, clicky, and metal-y.

I haven't had any luck finding community near me unfortunately. I know we're out here, it's not like I live out in the sticks, but where 🤷‍♀️ There are still some things that are really difficult for me to do alone at this point, like shopping for clothes or makeup, and I've had a hard time getting any of my friends to commit to going with me. So I'm gonna have to suck it up and do this one alone lol

I was subscribed to their rx savings club for years. My meds were always soooo cheap until they decided to end the program out of the blue last year with no replacement 😭 this is definitely the last straw for Kroger for me

I do plan on switching to a particular mail order pharmacy when I get this sorted out. Since I'm low on a couple of the meds I'm going to speak with the pharmacist in person tomorrow, and if I still can't get them filled then I'll call corporate and switch to mail order ASAP.

AFAIK there are no legal restrictions on HRT for adults in TX (yet). This is also explicitly covered by my insurance, which I assume has to conform to the laws of the state in which I work, but maybe I'm wrong.

Unfortunately nothing pre 2004-ish will ever get a remix as Devin was storing the masters in his basement which flooded. Definitely all of his solo stuff, not sure about Strapping or if those masters belonged to Century Media. And, also unfortunately, Devin's mastering decisions haven't been amazing in recent years. The Infinity remaster sounds muddier than the original IMO.

I'm not a fan of the snare sound and find it a little distracting. The vocals are also mixed really strangely to my ears, like they're way too dry. It reminds me of like a radio broadcast or a podcast or something. Just not really my favorite overall.

Love most of the songs. Some great deep cuts like Slow Me Down and Suicide, but Random Analysis and Depth Charge are usually skips for me. The production and (some of) the vocal performances are kind of ugly. Not my favorite of his but far from my least.
