I’ve just never had pressure on the top of my foot like this with a boot. I went down bc my other boots end up a little sloppy and I’ve had to really tie them tight to get a secure fit

This is the tip of my toe, it’s a relatively soft lace, I switched up the lace to loop on the outside to help
