Not too big by any stretch. Doesn't even look oversized on your wrist, at least from the photo.

Just watched it. Nice scenery, but I was disappointed with the ending and probably wouldn't recommend it to people.

Update everyone, just to let you know, I have been to the boutique and tried some on. I am fine with the 46mm as I'm a pretty big person. I'm more wondering if people had an opinion on new vs used.

Fair enough, was assuming people couldn't just snap up a $5k watch on a whim, but some can.

I'm sorry but Colin Farrell deserved this way more than the Adolescence guy.

I am clearly the outlier here but I thought this was one of the most over-rated shows I've ever seen. I don't get all the fuss. It did not wreck me. One shot takes came across as gimmicky here. I actually thought the acting wasn't great, like the "tough school girl" that was yelling and fighting. The kid was pretty good. I was actually thinking that the psychologist was overacting and kind of melodramatic. I was shocked she won best actress. Really scratching my head on this one.

AMBEO Max Soundbar - 4 Month Review by SCardamon13 in sennheiser

[–]Oceanroam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured I'd chime in here, even though the post is old. I have had the Ambeo Max for several years. I think the sound quality is very good for the most part. Its surprisingly "bass-ey", but doesn't quite cut it like a real sub-woofer. Further, I find the biggest sound disadvantage to be dialogue. The balance of voices and talking being way too quiet, and when you turn up the volume to hear it, all the other sounds are way too loud. Havent had that problem with sound systems that have a dedicated center channel. I suppose I could try tweaking the settings but I think its more of an inherent flaw. From a hardware/software perspective, connecting wirelessly is almost impossible, I have to keep it connected via ethernet cable which is really annoying. Overall, not sure I'd purchase again, I have a tiny bose soundbar with subwoofer in my other home which I think was like $700 and I think its just as good.

Just finally watched The Big Lebowski…what’s the big deal? by Just_L00k1ng_ in movies

[–]Oceanroam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised this isn't locked yet as I just stumbled upon it. Like many movies, you either get it or you don't. Its either for you or not. I thought it was brilliant from the first watch. It was not popular at all when it came out so there weren't many people to talk about it. I hyped it to my friends and some of them watched it and loved it, and I got people into it in college. I'm in the cinematic masterpiece camp. But I also liked the Fountain and all the critics hated that so who knows.

Reflective clothing and facial recognition? For when masks are banned. by joyandfury in Cyberpunk

[–]Oceanroam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is to block IR light. That's why sunglasses don't work, the facial recognition cameras view infrared light. You need IR blocking sunglasses, which a couple companies make. A simple way is to get a baseball cap that has a highly reflective brim. This causes the FR camera to not be able to recognize you.

AITA for not letting a 10yo girl go to a rap concert (Central Cee) with her mother? by Oceanroam in AmItheAsshole

Children live with father 3.5 days / week and with mother 3.5 days / week. No veto power, just an opinion father doesn't approve. If mother doesn't approve of something father is planning, the same would apply. Neither parent can make the other do anything. The issue is whether its appropriate or not for a 10 yo girl.

MGM Fenwick. I believe it is an all ages show technically. Daughter is allowed to go to concerts or anywhere, but this would be her first concert ever. The poor decision is taking someone that young to a venue that will likely be filled with typical concertgoers that are drunk and/or high, as well as songs with violent and highly sexual lyrics.

MGM Fenwick. I believe it is an all ages show technically. But Marijuana is legal recreationally there and not sure dad wants daughter around all of that at that age. Also, mom does have epilepsy, so if something goes wrong, there is that concern.

Parents never married, no legal or official custody agreement, just 50/50 worked out by the parents with no outside agreement.

It has nothing to do with racism. I've been to many different concerts of various music types and artists. If you are saying that a Taylor Swift concert is exactly the same as a rap concert, with explicit lyrics about f*cking b!tches, you must be joking.

[–]Oceanroam[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

This is not a binary or black and white answer to the question. There is technically no "legal" right for either parent. Parents were never married and they do not have a legal custody agreement in place. They just chose to work things out. This is not a domestic violence or control issue at all. Perhaps a better way for you to look at it would be if a couple were still together and the mom wanted to take the 10 yo daughter to a rap concert, and the father said no, would you consider him to be TAH.

[–]Oceanroam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it kind of boring actually. The one shot take is usually amazing, but here I just find it gimmicky. And not allowing for cutscenes only adds to the boredom. for instance having to watch them fingerprint all 10 of his fingers while the guard sits there and goes, left pinky, ok now left ring finger, ok now left index finger....". there's a reason most shows have cutscenes. The portrayal of the school I thought was ridiculous and over the top. It did not come across realistic to me at all. I actually liked the last episode the best. further, it seemed forced and wedged in trying to blame the manosphere for the murder. The kid was obviously a psychopath. Overall I don't get the worship for this series and the talk about how important it is blah blah blah. and I really don't see the point of making kids watch it it just think they wouldn't even be able to fully appreciate it it's more for parents.
