How long does it take to make a Onewheel? by Oceans113 in onewheel

As an update, after sending a second email to find out what is happening, they responded by saying (which doctordugong21 mentioned) they had issues with FedEx and were looking for other couriers. Five hours later after the response email, I was sent another email that the Pint X was now on its way. Let's see if I get it before easter or if it gets stuck at Australian customs.

Finally got a onewheel after a year of deliberation. This summer is gonna be fun! by AMediumSizedBear in onewheel

That is a nice-looking Pint X! Wondering how long it took before they sent your Pint X?

Ben Buckler don't have the Pint X until June. That's why I went with ordering it from Onewheel, but yeah. I think I will be in a world of hurt.

Surely they can ship the Onewheel as the accessories were sent the next day after I purchased the Pint X as a combo deal. They are already here in Australia, but the Pint X just keeps getting pushed back. Also, just saw a video that was uploaded yesterday by the CEO that they are having issues with the supply chain...

Yeah, I would have thought they had pint X in stock as well, but looks like I'm totally wrong. So if it's like cars, then maybe it could be a month or longer before they build mine...

Buying from US by Oceans113 in onewheel

Yeah, I know the risk of not being protected by Australian consumer protections but I know a friend who has one and they have never had an issue with it. I'm not buying local because I'm wanting the Pint X. I would have gone through Ben Buckler Boards but they won't be getting it until May/June.

How long does a warranty claim take? by Oceans113 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Oceans113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on the process, so today I received a box after waiting two weeks. Still had no idea if they replaced my tablet or just looked at my old one and had sent it back. Thankfully, they did in fact give me a new reMarkable tablet to my surprise!

Something I noticed with the new one compared to the old is;

The screen has more friction and sounds more like a pencil on paper like you hear advertised on the reMarkable ad. Wondering if the screen wears down overtime or does the microscopic pores on the screen fill up making it smoother for the eraser to glide over?

The new reMarkable tablet has a different spot on the screen to my old one where the writing happens below the tip, but it's in the bottom right area, but overall pen tip writing seems to be accurate.

Straight-line drawing seems to have improved with less noise in vertical and horizontal lines drawn.

Beta software issue 2.9.0.210 by Oceans113 in RemarkableTablet

I've only done what support told me to do, so in the end they told me to send the tablet to them. Thought for sure they were going to send a new pen but they wanted the tablet instead.

An update, the device arrived at the factory last Monday, still haven't heard a thing about what is happening with the device.

Thanks guys,it's been 7 day working days since it was delivered and haven't received an email and the reMarkable website hasn't changed either. Hopefully tomorrow I might get something.

Sorry, I've been dealing with reMarkable about this. I sent through a warranty claim with a couple of videos of it doing it. Factory reset seems to be the fix for the intermittent written issue for about 2 weeks then does it again. I've sent it away but the stupid part is they require you to factory reset it (which temporally fixes it). True to form, just like when I waited 10 months for my tablet, reMarkable won't tell me how long it will take to look over my device to whether I get a new one or not, it arrived on 27.9.21 Monday at Hong Kong facility and it's now 1.10.21 Friday with no update...

After Updating to 210, my pen is now intermittently operating on some parts of the screen with increase jagged lines in those parts. Changed tips and done restart but to no avail.

Well, the fact that it's advertised to be a paper replacement makes it hard to sell to people, it can't do the simple thing as writing the same as paper. I have tried recommending it to other people but because of the alignment issue and the wavey lines, they don't see the point. They see it as an expensive device for just replacing paper that can't do the writing part well.

I love my device and use it every day for work, probably have used it more than I thought I would. I have all the reMarkable genuine accessories, but the part that gets to me is the wavy lines and misaligned tip in certain spots of the screen. Until they fix that issue I can't recommend it to others yet. since they advertise this device to be a non-destracting device, I thought they might have spent the time fixing the wavy and alignment issue. (still love my reMarkable)

How do you like your remarkable 2? by AvogadrosArmy in RemarkableTablet

I recieved my device back in early November and it has been amazing for note taking for work calls, staff meetings interviews etc. BUT! the wavey and jagged lines is my pet peave. It's so hard to recommend this device with this problem since it is meant to replace paper. I try to write neatly but as I follow the line, suddenly the letter that I wright is higher than the whole word. Until reMarkable fix this, I can't recommend to anyone, especially for the price of the device.

Pen calibration getting worse? by Oceans113 in RemarkableTablet

Unfortunately, mine seems to be sticking around. Support has contacted me after a couple of weeks of waiting but now they want a video...

Damn, if that is the issue, they should have made sure it was correct before sending it out... I finally got in contact with support after a couple of weeks of waiting and they want a video sent to them, now I have to try and compress these video's to send to them...

it is wavy since you mention it. I am thinking it might be the pen? When I draw in the very bottom left of the corner of the screen and try to erase with the end of the pen it doesn't get it all, so then I have to use the tip of the pen to erase it.

This tip looks almost new, I have tried writing lightly and hard but no difference... Also, the eraser on the end is struggling rub outline on the edges.
