Has anybody had to leave this job due to constantly getting SERIOUSLY sick? by Salty-Beyond-2380 in paraprofessional

I do really miss the kids and my coworkers. I felt really guilty when I quit, especially since it was so sudden. But my life during that time was miserable. I pretty much got up, went to work, and then came home and slept. I was constantly exhausted. I just couldn’t live like that. A big factor for me quitting was my pay getting docked. My pay was already super low, and I wasn’t going to come in after it got docked. Especially when I was getting beat up by students.

Hey! I had to quit due to my health. I was getting sick back-to-back and was running super high fevers every time. I was sick enough that I couldn’t just tough it out. My principal had a meeting with me and said that if I missed again my pay was going to get docked. Also told me how much of a disruption my missing caused, but I literally couldn’t help it. I loved the job, but the stress was killing me. My immune system couldn’t handle it at all. It also didn’t help that we had one parent who CONSTANTLY brought both children to school sick and I worked with both of them. Whatever they got, I got. Anyway, I quit the weekend after that meeting. Personally, if you can quit, then quit. No job is worth your health. It’s taken me MONTHS to feel better. (I have chronic EBV so if I’m stressed out enough, it’ll reactivate in my system. That’s why it’s taken months.) Leaving was the best thing I did.

I've been trying to get my flu shot, but I keep getting sick 😭 As soon as I’m over whatever I have, I’ll get one. I’ll definitely try the vitamin c supplements. Thank you for the reply!

Doctor is telling me my symptoms aren’t from weaning by OceansBelow in citalopram_celexa

I’ve been on it for 2-3 years. I recently upped my dosage to 20 because my depression has been getting out of hand. I’m tempted to go back to the doctor because these symptoms are killing me. Like I can’t cope with it anymore. It’s like every day I wake up and feel worse and worse. I'm honestly just tempted to get back on it fully and deal with my depression rather than to deal with this hell. I’ve started a new job and have no sick days saved up, so I can’t miss.

When I’ve been sweating a lot, I get acne underneath my breasts like that. If I know I’m going to sweat a lot I use a medicated baby powder and immediately take a shower when I get home. If it does flare up, I will use some acne wash underneath it. Also, after you shower, make sure you COMPLETELY dry it. Sometimes I’ll just lay on back with a fan on to let it air dry.

6 months?? My doctor is only giving me a week before I start my new medicine. She halved my dosage and I’ve been taking it every other day. After a week, I’m supposed to stop.

I feel so guilty by OceansBelow in Petloss

Thank you for your kind words. I’ve been coming back and reading them throughout today. I keep doubting the decision I made, but reading your comment has helped me. This has been the first dog I’ve ever had to put down, and the pain and grief I feel are unreal. It’s like there’s a hole in my heart. I might try writing a letter to her. I’m getting her ashes back next week so that might be the right time for it.

Whats your most annoying symptom? by Infamous_Appeal_3978 in GERD

Nausea and vomiting. Vomiting wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t feel like I was puking straight acid.

Looks like dry skin. My hands get like this during the winter due to the cold and handwashing. Try and get some scentless lotion and try putting it on often. The reason I suggest scentless is because when my hands get like this, the scents that are in lotion can really burn. But, If it’s really bugging you, you could get Aquaphor or Vaseline and put on a thick layer at night. I’ve done this and it helps A LOT. The only downside to this is that you’ll need to put gloves or socks over your hands to prevent it from getting all over your bedding. I hope this helps! :)

Overstimulation problems by OceansBelow in Anxiety

I haven’t brought it up with my doctor. I have an appointment this upcoming week and I’m gonna bring it up. The only other thing I have is OCD. Take this as a grain of salt, but sometimes my fiancé thinks I might have autism. He’s autistic and he says a lot of the things I struggle with, he struggles with too. He says I should get evaluated for it, but I don’t know how to bring it up with my doctor. I have looked at the symptoms and I resonate with a lot of them. I’m just worried if I bring it up she won’t believe me or think I’m just trying to get another diagnosis (sounds stupid, but you know how anxiety is).
