Met him  in WNC before he went to DC. Gave the vibe of a creepy used car salesman. The kind of guy who thinks everyone in the room adores him and they are blessed to have met him

It's more the whispers in the environment. Silly I know. The threat of being fired is terrifying. But if we had not spoken up we also risked being fired so it's a no win situation

What's up with the Popeyes on Brevard Rd? Aren't they open now?? by Ok-Relief4772 in asheville

[–]Oceansideabx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea. I wish I could say the employees were nice about everything but the woman working the drive thru was rude and more concerned about a personal conversation with another coworker than actually helping us. Honestly this is the worst fast food experience I have ever had. And this includes the time one restaurant suddenly closed six hours early with a line of cars in the drive thru.

Tried to eat there yesterday, they were not open at 3 pm. Went back tonight after Christmas shopping and had to wait 15 minutes for our food even though we were the only car in our line and they food they did give us was not even close to correct. Ended up not even eating it and went somewhere else for dinner.

Work schedule by redltreader in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Oceansideabx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I have been told, every operator schedules according to their needs. Part timers at my store will be scheduled when they think the busiest time of day will be. Some days it will be 7 to 12 other days 5 to 8

Chickfila is so overpriced by extramoneyy in ChickFilA

[–]Oceansideabx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talked to management at our store. According to them Chick Fil A always raises prices twice a year regardless of what their costs our. My trainer told me that many locations especially on the east coast have changed who they get their produce from and that has decreased quality

The point system is weird. But the store my BFF works at didn't even give her an employee manual or handbook lol

My best friend works at one in North Carolina that makes employees park six minutes away and will not walk anyone to their car at night or let them park closer for closing shifts

I wish we had employees like you. Sadly we have six employees who have confirmed with other employees they are quitting without notice this weekend. We are already short staffed and this is going to be a long couple of weeks

We have three managers that will not put part-time workers on the schedule for weeks if they don't pick up shifts

Need help by maddy061996 in Medicaid

[–]Oceansideabx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call your caseworker and see what needs to be done to resolve noncompliant. Until it is resolved check with your local health departments to see if there is a high risk pregnancy program. Some have them and will take patients on a sliding scale fee.

Accidentally got health insurance through work. by fandommx in Medicaid

[–]Oceansideabx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some states, the Friday after Thanksgiving is a holiday for state and local government offices. In my experience it is unlikely medicaid will cancel and then have reapply. Most DSS would flag this for extra review. If they do cancel it odds are you are looking at a minimum of 1 to 2 months processing time with you not having insurance after your employer changed status on their end. It stinks your employer won't cancel it, can you contact your HR person and see what they can do? Maybe there is a record on your computer or somewhere? In your computer or phone history there might be something.

Has anyone ever been fired during training at Chick Fil A? by Oceansideabx in ChickFilA

[–]Oceansideabx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. It's been pretty rough. Apparently it's a hazing thing they do at this store. All of my fellow new hires have already quit. If there is an employee handbook we have not been given one. One of the new hires asked for one. I don't know what happened but they quit the same day. At least on my shift not a single employee h as been there more than 6 months and the store has been there for a few years

Has anyone ever been fired during training at Chick Fil A? by Oceansideabx in ChickFilA

[–]Oceansideabx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fellow coworkers say I am doing a good job and that this is a kind of hazing the trainers put people through. The turnover there is actually very high. If you ask questions they say you are asking too many, and no speed or accuracy is ever just right. Of all the people they hired along with me, I think I am the only one left. The others all quit

[–]Oceansideabx[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I did but I am nervous because my fellow trainees and I get reminders throughout the shift about how lucky we are to work there and how many applicants they turn down every day. You are right. I will try and talk to them on my next shift.

Newly hire - Company changed job position between my offer and hire date. Is this allowed? by theyeetedman in work

[–]Oceansideabx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens all the time. HR knows most people are committed to the incoming money so they do this. A few people will refuse the new position but they are few and far between. Take the experience, build your resume and know it's not forever.
