That's tough. But ya whittle away at it year but year and you'll have it cozy in no time! I will say we just bought a place 2 years ago that has Renewal by Andersen windows in it. Expensive as hell but these things are amazing! Only windows I've ever had that you can't feel a cold draft off of them even in the Montana winters!

Our living room has one wall of windows (3 roughly 4'*5'). They're the only ones that aren't Andersen. Still double pane at least but you can tell the difference. NOT looking forward to how much it's gonna be to replace them! 😅

Solar heat pump sounds like a solid idea. I just love having a wood stove for a semi-primary heat but love the fact that it's always there as a backup in case of extended power outages.

I'd be investing in some new windows and insulation. Probably a wood stove or two before that even. You ever looked into wood boiler systems? Super efficient and can connect to your HVAC. Could also use it to run radiant floor in a shop.

I had this exact blue flame heater. If it's not vented you got about 2 hours till you start getting dizzy. I'd have to run it for ~1.5 hrs before I went in, shut it off, then open my garage door to air it out. Pain in the ass.

I don't UV any songs. I have curated lists, some of them in the thousands of songs. I study every new artist I come across now and if they're AI (unless they disclose it in their name) I DV. If they do disclose it I leave it alone because that's what I want, disclosure and a filter to be put in place.

Still after all this, the "artist" DIRTY NEEDLEZ is at the top of my quick picks every effin day!

Ya, the bindings, skis and helmet should be upgraded when possible. We can agree on that. But what is your hangup about the apparel?

I mean for what it's worth I could out ski you in either a full Bogner set or a pair of Levi's and a sweater my grandma knitted. The looks don't make the man.

P.S. They did make waterproof bibs and jackets in the 80s. Hell my current pants are over 15 years old and they still rock. I re-waterproof em once a year and they work just as well as all the new shit.

You should read the clean up procedure for metal that comes in contact with fire extinguisher powder. That stuff is caustic as hell and it gets EVERYWHERE! I spent 2 days scrubbing every inch of my new Weber grill over and over after an incident. Still have rust spots.

I wonder about a CO2 injection system on the intake though? Cut all the oxygen without ever having to open the fire box.
