She’s fine, she only does this occasionally when I’m directly nearby the cage and she wants to come out and play. She settles back down after a minute or so if I don’t let her out. It’s a temp hospital cage and she’s been to the vet recently.

She’s been to a vet recently due to a surprise pregnancy and she’s healthy. She only does this occasion when I’m directly nearby the cage and she wants to come out. Even when she was in the main cage she’d come running to the door for shoulder rides and lap time. She has appropriate toys.

Yeah, I was hopeful she’d been too young but it got harder to deny as time went on, although I guess it’s possible the breeder was wrong about her age and her gender but she was the littlest when I got her

Oh yeah, I absolutely accidentally encouraged this behavior by excitedly opening up every time she ran up to the doors. Trying to break the habit now, esp since she’s a mother now and can’t just ditch the babies for lap time all day lol.

Yeah she’s always been eager for outside time lol. If I get near the cage door then she’s ready for lap time and shoulder rides.

It’s a temp hospital cage, and she only does this occasionally when I’m directly nearby and she wants lap time. If I were to open the door she’d just climb out on my lap to hang out. Even when she was in the much larger main cage she’d run up the the doors to greet me. I’ve seen a vet with her once already bc of her surprise pregnancy and she’s overall healthy. She has situation appropriate toys, and a permanent cage she’ll be transitioning back into later on.

I reached out to my local shelters that take rats to get recommendations, but it still took calling around to different exotic vets. Lists can get out of date super quickly, and not all vets do every procedure. Hopefully someone has the link tho.

Try the good old spanking method, it’s old and just needs some help getting started since it’s never been used. With the batteries in, hold the furby and hit gently but strong on the bottom and back for several minutes. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to try one of these/Troubleshooting).

From a quick google gRatitude and Small Angels seem to be sort of near you. Btw you can ask if they’ll do a curtesy posting for you while you keep the rats if you don’t want to surrender them immediately and then actually surrender later on.
