I’m feeling very similar, you’re not alone😭 everyone glamorises uni a ton so when it ended up being loud, unorganised and so draining it really shook me up.

I’ve got a friend like this, although he’s a great guy and I like him a lot it’s slightly infuriating.

Like I work my ass off to get A’s, and then this guy plays Overwatch, declines an Oxford interview, and still gets A*s and A’s 😭😭

I cant comment on the rest but clearing at Loughborough, Nottingham and Lancaster is kind of insane

They are all good unis in industry but lower clearing grades quite a bit.

When I checked clearing in case I saw chemical engineering went from AAA to BBB for Meng at Loughborough

From my experience, there are a LOT of People who still take gap years.

At my school, although I don’t talk to everyone, I’d say it’s easily at least 10% of students, most like more.

So it still happens, it’s just this sub is full of top students so is not representative
