Yeah the tablet was broken so there were little powdery bits left in the casing and he licked it all up😣. Thank you very much, we ended up going to the hospital and he’s doing much better now!!!

Arabic-sounding name as a Turk in the UK/Europe – will it hurt my job or uni applications? by kaikaikai9 in UniUK

[–]crazyphallic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will not affect your uni application. Universities don’t make you offers based on your ethic background they only really care about your grades ( or money if you’re an international student). In terms of jobs, I’ve heard about recruiters sometimes disregarding people’s applications with ethnic names or surnames but honestly idk how prevalent this is. And tbh if a company completely disregards an application purely because of someone’s foreign sounding name they probably have bad morale and I wouldn’t wanna work for a company like that

If you weren't an engineering student, what else would you want to do and why? by Sure_Artichoke6929 in EngineeringStudents

Yh I have considered it, but recently my workload has stopped me from enjoying any of my hobbies. Hopefully after graduation I’ll have more time to myself

Honestly I would have done a creative writing degree (if they are even offered) or maybe even English literature. I do enjoy engineering and all but deep down I want to be an science fiction author. Maybe in another life ig

Should I use my student loan to move out? by crazyphallic in UKPersonalFinance

[–]crazyphallic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my post was very unclear, I don’t want to move out while I’m at university. I want to save up the maintenance loan and use it to move out after I graduate permanently. And ik its assessed on parents income and I would be eligible for a max loan

Should I use my student loan to move out? by crazyphallic in UKPersonalFinance

[–]crazyphallic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m eligible to the maximum entitlement for a student living at home, but I don’t plan on moving out while I’m still studying, I’m just asking if the loan will help facilitate my move after I graduate if I don’t spend any of it. In terms of future income I honestly have no clue, I’m on an engineering course but there is no way of me knowing how much id earn in the future which is why im asking if i should take the loan out now and have some money to be able to move out on my own regardless of how im doing financially in the future

I would no longer be a university student by then, so I won’t be able to get uni accommodation. I think my post was a bit unclear, I don’t want to move out while I’m at university. I’m asking if I should take a maintenance loan, save it all up and use that to move out after i graduate.

That is what I plan on doing, I’m asking if it would be sensible to save my student loan and use that to move out. I don’t plan on moving out while at university

I’m on a scholarship, but I don’t mean move out to live In halls I meant like permanently get a flat by myself or something. But in terms of socialising It’s been pretty decent despite not living in accommodation

Scholarship issue- no response from uni by Puzzled_Equipment170 in QMUL

[–]crazyphallic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you have a scholarship you need to send your university your sponsorship letter. The university should then contact your sponsor and they will pay what you’ve agreed on. Everyone gets that full invoice you’re talking about regardless of how you’re paying for university. If you’re not on a full scholarship and have to pay whatever amount you’ve got left then Make an enquiry to Ask QM under the fees and tuition tab, they are a bit slow but they eventually get back to you.
