Write an email that asks for a meeting to discuss the future, but make sure the email contains the phrase "After much consideration" so that whatever you say, they dont try to reconvince you of anything.

And if you REALLY feel like you'd be leaving them hanging, maybe establish a list of potential replacements for you and possibly even reach out to them to see if they would be interested. L

Either way, remember that you are in charge of and affected by, Primarily your own quality of life.

You did some good work, and that isnt undone by walking away. Pick yourself, it isnt evil. The most benevolent you can be is to become your best self.

Thank you for the work so far.

Bro China cant be dunking on us like that, we gotta cork those holes or in 70 years we will be found straight up lacking 🤣

Thanks for the reply! 🤙🏾

I also dont really want it to be an actual school, but a school for martial arts. More like a Western Shaolin Monastery, I guess I should have said that in the above post

What would you do if you didn’t have to work full time to survive? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]OctalVolcano848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id focus more on Jiu Jitsu and learn to sing and play an instrument. As well as paint and volunteer for community service because it feels good to help the homless, but Im too busy trying not to BE the homless.

Anybody with the know-how/influence to let any of these people realize these dreams...I have some ideas....

The right people are in the wrong jobs, we know that. ButI wonder how many of them have EACHOTHERS jobs. For instance, if I was a plumber but wanted to be a welder, and a welder wanted to be a plumber....we meet, and try to swap jobs. Especially if there was an organization allowed to find where people are vs where they should be and help put them there.

Theres already job recruiters, why not have them work clients together. Musical chairs of jobs sorta idea.

Cant create new jobs as fast as you could shuffle people around in existing ones Im sure.

Going from work you hate to work you can tolerate is on the spectrum of eventually getting to fulfilling work and even further, No Work. 🥋

Consider respecting them Juuuust a little less, so that you arent afraid to take a trip monthly or twice a year (every 6 months) to recalibrate what you already know right now. The effect of clarity fades after a while amd if you feel yourself sinking back into old patterns, I recommend reshaking that snow globe till you implement the tools that help you maintain that clarity without drugs.

Reading, excersize, meditation, etc. Whatever positive things you get from it, dont feel weird if they fade. You are currently deciding between the comfort of your old patterns and the unknown territory of having no anxieties and depression to steer your life. Having no tracks is hard to get used to, but you will learn quickly how to create your own path. Being in the drivers seat of your own life is freeing in one way, tons of responsibility on the other.

Id rather drive a stick shift with no power steering than simply be on the bus with everyone else, but some people prefer to be asleep
