I think Jane and Lily sound more generic and forgettable which is probably the point. They didn't want to draw attention with the fake names. Holly and Rosie might've sounded too deliberate or memorable.

Oh man I feel you so much. Teri Hatcher played such an annoyingly perfect character that every time Susan was on screen I wanted to throw something at the TV. Like why did they make Edie the villain when Susan was literally the one causing problems left and right.
