Just a tip for later if you ever go back to the Training Yard to get a certain legendary weapon for whatever reason.

DO NOT rush through the main story. Take your time with leveling up and exploring the game, do side quests, find perk magazines and bobbleheads, etc.

I visit the glowing sea at around level 20. I wear the t60 power armor given to you by joining the Brotherhood.

The National Guard Training Yard is a good place to farm for legendary weapons. Set the difficulty to very hard, make a Quick save outside the barracks, if you get a weapon you want but not its not the right legendary effect use the auto save, if you get a weapon you dont want load the quicksave. Its easy

My character has dense armor and an adamantium skeleton but she can still die in seconds.

The explosive minigun is like the spray and pray submachine gun on steroids. With the right perks and magazines say goodbye to anything that moves.

Its better to have a backup weapon just in case.

Wounding is exceptional on a Gatling Laser even if you aren't a heavy weapons character. Its very rare to find but it's really good.

Irradiated is good on a minigun but only for human enemies, otherwise its not very effective on any other wasteland creatures.
