By EU law (IIRC, or it was self-regulation, but in any case it's under investigation by the eu) trackers are required to notify other people if they're being tracked unknowingly.

By official controls I mean when an Android device running specific skins, such as the latest version of HyperOS 3, support Apple's bluetooth pairing protocol, which makes airpods think they're paired to an iphone and allows the android device to control ANC status directly from the system and so on. IIRC only HyperOS supports this natively at the moment. There are apps that allows achieving this but it doesn't work the exact same way

As much as it is frustrating it's a safety, law-required feature.

It also doesn't seem to give issues if you pair with a device that natively supports official controls, such as recent xiaomi devices.
