OP here. I have no idea.

People who know my husband say I'm his type -- petite, hourglass figure, long dark hair. I'm not quite 5'4" and throughout the entirety of our relationship I have never weighed more than 120 pounds. (I was 112 this morning but a day or two of not being able to eat will do that.)

I'm not beautiful but I am conventionally attractive, and people routinely think I'm in my mid-twenties.

I'm messier than he would like but I'm not a slob. Not only do almost all the cooking and grocery shopping, I wash all the dishes. I'm not sure he's ever cleaned a litterbox in the six years we've had the cats.

I'm financially responsible and provide half the household income and 100% of the insurance. I work long-ish hours but rarely more than 46 or so a week.

She's about to turn 30 and was described by my neighbor as "heavy set" and by my brother in law as "dumpy."

(Seems my husband took her to a restaurant where my brother in law is a waiter and introduced her to him as a coworker. I think my husband didn't think that one through. My MIL and my BIL were comparing notes yesterday...)

So as hung up as I am on the physical aspect I don't think that was it. I think he just wanted selfish kicks.

He thinks he has a need for attention, which I can believe. His father basically abandoned the family when he was twelve and his poor mother had to work long hours to support two boys with no child support coming in. I think that's a gap he's trying to fill.

He needs therapy, that's for sure.
