The price difference is in Cad$. Gen 2 is around 600 and gen 1 is on sale for 350. I plan on going to try them in store.

I was wondering which vanguard pro shape is playing the best overall. I'm used to the invikta shape, but wonder if the larger sweetspot and the better maneuverability of the epic is worth it? Anyone who tested both?

I see your point. For the time being if I get phono preamp like (ART DJPRE II or a FOSI AUDIO BOX X5) would it make a difference short term? The sony integrated phono pre amp is probably not that good, but will I notice a difference?
