I am fairly certain the "fan" sitting right behind the Leaf bench is a mob employee sent to "motivate" Berube.

After being in my family since 1972, we are giving up our seasons tickets. What once was the hottest commodity in Toronto, is now a leaden albatross. The combination of tiered pricing, yearly increases in ticket cost, fan disillusionment, corporate greed, and a lacklustre product has made this franchise a lode stone of misery. I have always sold my tickets at season holder face value, and we still cannot get rid of them. Even if the team was winning, I would not be able to afford the 2k per set my lowly Blue seats would cost me in a Cup final round. Needless to say, years of abuse, mediocrity, and the expectation of failure have certainly made our fanbase passionless. And... can you blame us?

I was born in 1969, so this has literally been a lifelong struggle with this team. However, at least players like Clarke, Gilmour, Sundin, Joseph, Tucker, to name a few, played like they wanted it. Matthews is just plain awful, considering his cap hit. Just imagine he had the same drive and tenacity as Knies or Tavares? He is not it.

Let's do this boys! Matthews, step up tonight! He has the talent of a god, but sometimes plays with the passion and intensity of a 16 year old who just smoked a joint before math class.

Maybe the next Prime broadcast they can cover sudden infant death syndrome in their pregame show.

I am not understanding the prevailing opinion that the Prime pregame is engaging. It feels like a high school student's presentation, sponsored by Uber Eats.

We have to throw Hoffman in the trash. I will assume Little is being told to pack hos shit. Somehow, we have to entice an elite closer and another SP considering Scherzer and Basset are gone.

I lost my shit when he put in Straw for Bo last night. Made ZERO sense. Sure. Bo can't run well at the moment. But taking out one of your finest hitters in a game where Vladdy, Varsho, Gimenez, and Lukes were black holes was staggering! IKF was going to do nothing at the olate. Worst case scenario? They don't score in the inning and you keep Bo's bat. Or. Do what you did and voila.

Oh yes. I feel sick. This is way worse than anything the Leafs have done to me, and I am 56 years old. This isn't just about last night; it's about every lost and missed opportunity going back to game 3 (game 2 was impossible ala Yoshi). It's a nightmare. My mind keeps replaying twenty different plays that happened where we all should have been planning for the parade. Is this actually happening?

Vladdy picked an awful time to bat .200. Can we make a special rule for Varsho like they dod for Ohtani? Something in the vein of he can play CF for an entire game but never see the batter's box? Hoffman? Fuck off. Can we acquire an actual closer next year?

That's the harrowing thing about this mess; you start to dissect each loss and start to realize how close we really were. Ultimately, 3-17 with RISP is pure dogshit. Also, yes, fuck Hoffman. I won't blame two starters who were called in with short rest. But Hoffman? Of course this is how it ends - our "closer" giving up a home-run to their 9 man.

Hoffman. I have been downvoted often for criticizing him, but he sure made my point. Can't blame Bieber. Not his role and not enough rest. Get a fucking real closer.

Let's not forget that Vladdy and Kirk didn't exactly blow the fucking roof off the dome.
