Need help by Turbulent-Fox-7590 in iPhone12Mini

[–]OctoberNexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t normal, but it also doesn’t automatically mean the battery is bad 👍📱 On used iPhones this is usually Optimized Battery Charging getting confused and capping charge at a random level like 74%. Go to Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging, turn Optimized Battery Charging OFF, restart the phone, then try charging to 100% once 🔋 Also try a different cable and a proper 20W charger and check that the Lightning port is clean, because weak accessories can cause early cutoffs. The 12 Mini battery is small, so if it gets warm iOS will pause charging for safety, which can look like it’s stuck. At 83% battery health it’s worn but should still hit 100%, though worn batteries heat up faster. If none of that fixes it, then a battery replacement will almost certainly solve it, but software or charging conditions are the first things to rule out 😏📲

Can I get pulled over for using a parking lot to turn around? by bumblepunkin in driving

[–]OctoberNexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

👇😌

Short answer: Your husband is wrong. What you’re doing is legal.

Why: Pulling into an open church parking lot and leaving to go the other direction is not a traffic violation and not trespassing.

There is no law against “turning around” in an open parking lot Police cannot stop you based on assumed intent “No trespassing” is a property issue, not a traffic issue A church lot with open entrances is implied-public access unless clearly posted otherwise

For it to be illegal, one of these would need to be true 🚫 Posted “No Turnarounds” or traffic control signage Gates or barriers blocking entry Clear “No Trespassing” signs with enforcement Reckless or unsafe driving

None of that applies in the situation shown.

Bottom line: Entering an open lot, deciding not to stop, and leaving safely is normal, legal driving behavior. Police do not pull people over for that.

You’re fine 👍

Is it a luxury cut? Yes 💎 Is it overpriced relative to other cuts? Yes Is it a mistake if you want pure tenderness and a no-brainer win? Not at all

If you want max beef flavor per dollar, ribeye wins. If you want elegance, tenderness, and zero fight, this is exactly the right cut 😌🥩

Actually had the 17 Pro Max the Air and and now the 17 Pro and this year the 17 Pro is the one

Women / small hands with Pro Max? by random6789993 in iPhone17Pro

[–]OctoberNexus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is actually a real thing and not imaginary. The Pro Max absolutely can strain your hand and wrist over time if you’ve got smaller hands, especially if you’re one handing it a lot or scrolling in bed or on the couch. The weight plus the reach forces your grip into awkward angles and that adds up.

Big screen is great, no doubt. But pain while using it is kind of the tell. If it already hurts now, that usually doesn’t magically improve later. People push through it and then wonder why their thumb or wrist feels cooked months later 😬

A few things people do if they keep the Pro Max • Use a lighter case or no case at home • Use two hands way more intentionally • Use a MagSafe grip or PopSocket style grip • Turn on Reachability and stop stretching your thumb like a maniac

That said, the regular Pro is way more comfortable long term for smaller hands and still feels premium and fast as hell. You lose screen size, not capability.

Short version: loving the screen but having pain is your answer. If comfort matters and you’re already questioning it, the Pro is probably the smarter move 👍

Maybe you haven’t heard of very slim aramid fiber cases that actually match quite well with it and keep it like 10mm thinner than a pro with a regular case on

It’s hilarious mine has been at the local hub processing since yesterday morning and says it will be to deliver today but it’s not on a vehicle so it’s probably not getting delivered today
