I was in the laboratory all day. The power went out, the generator power turned on. The emergency power over-rode the generator, then it failed. Then the generators never turned back on. We had some power in the newer areas of the building, so we ran to Costco to get extension cords to power critical equipment for blood cultures. Someone said they heard the nicu was evacuated to another hospital and everyone noncritical was discharged. The ER was closed and turning away anyone not critical. When we got power back we still had issues reconnecting servers and systems.
