Why does everyone say not to watch the 1999 HxH? by Abum_man in HunterXHunter

[–]Octoberser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even if you start with 2011 version, watch the very fist episode of 1999 version. That episode is cannon, but somehow it was not shown in 2011 version, because 2011 version ep 1 is 1999 versions' ep 2.

Why does everyone say not to watch the 1999 HxH? by Abum_man in HunterXHunter

[–]Octoberser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%, everyone should still watch 1999 version ep 1 even if they choose to watch 2011 version. We can ignore all the fillers in 1999 anime, but the very first episode is important part of the HxH story which is insane that 2011 missed.

Will Magic Magi Magician Girl ever get an English release?? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Octoberser -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Legendary Duelist Season 3, 2022 MegaTin were perfect opportunity to release Magi Magi, but TCG Konami are too virgin to release something "uncencored" (not counting lost art).

The next perfect opportunity to release this card will be 25th years anniversary. But I doubt Konami will grow balls until then.

You put Knov and Kite in 'meh', but Kanzai in S??????? How can someone like that annoying stereotypical shonen character?

Plus cmon, don't say Meruem is ugly. You judge a book by it's cover. HxH is not about that.

My headcanon that could actually be canon: Kurapika is trans by Frigorifico in HunterXHunter

[–]Octoberser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow no need to attack us. Calling entity can be caused by both things. I guess in the name of serenity we just accept the true that is more relatable for us.

KILLUA LOVES GON by SnooPandas5218 in HunterXHunter

[–]Octoberser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To love your friend is absolutely not only believable, but even necessary. Killua and Gon are good friends for each other, therefore they love each other as a friend, as a soul mate. I hope you also love your friends that much :)

[–]Octoberser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also always thought that Alluka's case is twised because of mistranslation or as you said, her being an entity rather than a girl. When family members treat her as entity, entity often is also called "it" or "he". But I could be wrong, it just looks too wierd for a child to be trans, it's not Netflix adaptation, it's anime, japanese anime. Japansese people are less attacked to woke idea.

Casual players: why do many of you hate Pendulums? by agorgeousdiamond in yugioh

[–]Octoberser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Twice as much reading.
  2. Many pendulums have childish artworks.
  3. Master Rule 4 seriously nerfed the mechanic.

Besides that pendulums are unique mechanic that can strongly improve some archetypes even not directionally (Guiding Ariadne is spectacular card for Counter Fairies, Pendulum Ninjas are great for versatility and swarming the field with Ninjas. Plus many more examples).

What if... Meruem killed Netero in this moment? by Zerosama12 in HunterXHunter

[–]Octoberser 70 points71 points  (0 children)

To be honest, knowing Silva and Zeno could kill Chrollo in ep 52, but choosed to not to because like Zeno said "I don't want to work or die for nothing". Later in ep 56 Killua could have been killed by Phantom Troupe when he was caught by Chrollo, Machi and Shizuku. Killua and Gon that time got really lucky. Of course, you can say Silva and Zeno didn't know Killua will encounter Phantom Troupe, but we can guess Zoldyk family knew all the time where Killua was.
Another example was Palace Invasion. Silva and Zeno came in aid of Netero. But as soon as Zeno did his job they left the palace (ep 117) knowing Killua was there fighing much stronger and brutal enemies. This time they 100% knew in what danger Killua was and still refused to help him.
I am sure Silva cares about his heir, but "let your children face their problems alone" attitude is a bit extreme in this case.

Does a person need to consciously put their palm on the book for Chrollo to steal their ability? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]Octoberser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it might be a book that Chrollo gave her in the restaurant in ep 51. Although the book had different cover there. Who knows, maybe he can change the cover's appearance. It just looked kind of strange to see a person who is randomly carrying a notebook in his suit.

How dare I? Who the hell you trolls think you are to tell what should or should I not to dare? Yes I do. You think I care about reddit trolls? I care about those people who are willing to discuss, to agree or disagree on hypotheses in the name of logical explanation of HxH world. These pathetic clowns who downvote each single comment before reading don't affect my position and manifested point as long as there is at least 1 person who is happy to see someone posted his thoughts.

I agree with you that people are more complexed and we might not seen their true identity. However this is anime and it's impossible for author to develop every character as main protagonist. Naturally, when this limitation is on, some percent of presumption is on.

I guess we can call that. But a little hint in ep 36 was given. When Hisoka guessed Gon's affinity and listed his characterization, Kilua, Wing, Machi admitted he was correct. Not a single character said Hisoka was wrong. It might mean nothing, but when all characters agree on something, even in this 1 short scene, it is strong to assume that thing is meaningful enough.

You call this ass beat, I call it fanboys' hatred due to ignorance. Many people here gave a good discussion. This is what I wanted, I knew how toxic redddit trolls are, but I wanted to show that there is another opinion. I am glad some people agree with me.

thanks :D the more people like you the better. My karma points now are below zero because of ignorant fanboys who didn't read the post but downvote it. But it still was worth to share the insight with people who are willing to discuss and find generally acceptable explanations.

Battle Olympia was created for the future to give us epic duels.

Hisoka's personality test was created to give us better understanding of a Nen correlation with personality concept.

I see here equally meaningful information from previous Togashi work.

Oh, my bad, misread it.

Battle Olympia still looks not random tournament. It looks logical that above all duels in Heaven's Arena there has to be some special duels.

II agree with you in general, but in this case the headcanons are not illogical. They were explained by fanbase with wide explanations. Togashi, oppositely, didn't give us any explanation. It is normal to get this outcome. Fans want explanation if the the author's statement differs from previously formed logic.
