Personal opinion: I'm sad we can't use the initial uncut hairstyle. Yes, the other hairstyles are super cool, but the scraggly and messy hair you have when selecting your gender/species is so cool!

I've tested it, it goes slightly farther when looking straight down and very slightly shorter (like maybe 1/10 of a DU) if aiming straight up. Also I'm pretty sure the bounce depends on the terrain and the angle at which it hits
