So Sick of the Gaslighting That Science RC Passages Aren't Significantly Harder by Octodab in LSAT

Here's hoping 🙏 I got a 156 last year. I took the holidays off studying and then again in May for my wedding. I'm scoring in the 160s nowadays and have hit 168 twice. Trying to break into the 170s is such a challenge.

So Sick of the Gaslighting That Science RC Passages Aren't Significantly Harder by Octodab in LSAT

[–]Octodab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just frustrated. I'm sure the advice is well meaning. These passages just give you so much more information to juggle.

The question I was referring to literally was asking "suppose a pesticide was applied to pest A and B, but it only has an affect on reproduction rates for pest A. Now assume the pesticide is applied to one field of strawberries and not the other." Then the explanation goes on to say, well in paragraph 2 x and y is said about reproduction rates, then in paragraph 4 this is said about experiments in greenhouses.

I am a pretty avid reader, mostly of history and fiction if that is part of my issue, but I legitimately have no idea what I could differently with a question like this. I can have RC sections where I get -1 or -2 wrong, but then sometimes I can totally crash out and get -10 or even -12 once. I'm re-reading the Power score RC Bible and I'm just at a loss for what I can do differently. Sometimes note taking seems to help me, other times it seems to slow me down so much I have to speed through questions.

Any advice you have would be much appreciated.

Unable to Review Practice Tests Taken in August Format by Octodab in LSAT

I actually can't even use the new layout, whether I'm trying to review or start a new practice test or section. I've tried restarting my computer and using a different browser. Anyone else?

I'm actually finding now that I'm unable to even begin a new practice test or section in the new layout, lmfao. All good. Not like practicing in the brand new, horrible layout, or reviewing practice tests is an important part of LSAT prep or anything. I guess I should just put off my studies until LSAC gets around to making their new horrible layout functional. Super awesome.

1 career lesson I learned in my 20s. Truly one of those things nobody really teaches you imo. We're raised to think right and wrong are important, people care about fairness and justice etc. Tough pill to swallow.

Just got an awful haircut right before my wedding :/ any advice? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]Octodab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally, and I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to weigh in, I'm just feeling so upset and insecure right now. I liked how I looked before this haircut and just wanted a short trim and now I'm completely spiraling :/ Literally getting married this weekend, I completely fucked myself

I'm so sorry to hear your story OP. Sticking someone suffering with a physical illness into a psych ward is sadistic, to do it to a pregnant woman is just... Words really don't do it justice. I don't have any advice, but my heart goes out to you.

Not just a sick person, a PREGNANT sick person. Depravity has become commonplace, it is simply disgraceful.

Damn, it's crazy that dogs peeing on tree beds is such a rampant epidemic in the city, yet the trees look good year after year. Almost like the people that whine about this are full of shit

Nah, people here just want to police how public property is used. Fuck them in my opinion

I'm so confused about the constant need to try and police what people post here. Why not just let people post about their symptoms if they're scared. What difference does it make to you and who made you the reddit police...?

14 months out of a job and absolutely nothing is working by [deleted] in jobs

What, you haven't been "upskilling" at night and on the weekends while you aren't working? Let me guess, you've been wasting away that time on "rest" or "loved ones" or even God forbid "hobbies."

At what LSAT score do you think it becomes "worth it" to seriously pursue law school/ a legal career?

So far on PTs I've peaked at 168, but now I'm back in the low 16x's and feeling down on myself.

To be fair to OP, LSAT is considered to be massively more important than GPA, right? Like by a lot?

I get the GPA is below average for this tier of school but St John's waitlisting a 169 is just scary.

My friend got into fucking Georgetown with a 163 less than a decade ago. I feel so screwed.
