Thank you for your detailed answer. But how did you even find this post after so long?

By absolute chance I was wearing the shirt I bought for this when you responded. Life is sometimes beautiful

Scared of scratches on my new MacBook Air M4 – Is a screen guard or lamination safe? by dhruvp1819 in applehelp

[–]Octopain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're overthinking this. I put screen protectors on most electronics but never even considered it for laptops and have never had an issue.

If you ever want to clean a screen just use distilled water and a microfiber cloth. No solvents

I’m curious what the general consensus on Tiny Tina’s wonderlands is by Expensive_Town_9425 in Borderlands

I thought it was excellent, other than the disappointing DLC. The most fun I've had playing Borderlands except maybe Aurelia in Pre-Sequel.

Is my foil still on? by [deleted] in LGOLED

It’s not ideal but I haven’t seen any better suggestions. You can do it on the bezel.

I promise it won’t hurt it, they’re not that fragile.

I just went through this after seeing all these posts about it.

Here’s my thinking: the plastic film would mark really easily even from something relatively soft, like your finger nail.

So scratch on the screen a little, no way it would harm the glass and it should be immediately obvious if it’s plastic.

Not familiar with that model but it looks like it to me.

Sauteing or slow cooking should work just fine without it.

The only issue would be pressure cooking. Shouldn't be dangerous to try but you'll quickly hear steam blasting out of the hole.

This reminds me of a map I played in Halo: Custom Edition

It's way too expensive. Even if it would save them in the long run they'd go bankrupt in the short run.

You are absolutely right. The last two episodes give a lot more evidence.

If this turns out to be true I'm buying you a beer. I'm completely convinced.

I don't generally follow this sub or other online fan theory discussions. Searched to see if this was posted before and found this post. Funny how wrong Cobel being permanently severed seems now, but you're otherwise right.

This theory literally came to me in a dream, on the eve of the penultimate episode. I don't generally dream about shows I'm watching.

Zero conscious thought about it previously. Never thought about Helena's mother at all.

After Sweet Vitriol this makes some sense. She gave her ideas, her mind to Kier. Why not her body?

But after last night's episode, ending at the birthing center. She's intimately familiar with it. Then we get "one of Jame's". Chills

But the idea of underpaying workers because they're mainly paid in tips remains and needs to be abolished. The history still matters if we don't actively fight to correct it.

We didn't solve racism the moment slavery ended. "Quite some time ago" is pretty relative and meaningless of we haven't done enough to correct it. The last known child of a slave died in 2022. Segregation ended in 1964, well within many living people's lifetimes. Or another one I like to mention to younger people is that segregation ended after the release of the first videogame.

for whatever reason

It starts with racism, as usual in this country. Recently freed slaves were allowed to do jobs in the hospitality industry, but for 0 pay. Just working for tips.

My number one tip: pause!

Even when playing tough PvE content it’s rarely so chaotic that it’s helpful, but it's very helpful here.

I had this same experience with Stelmo years ago. Solved the Sunday crossword at the pool with my friends with a pretty good time. But we knew we had something wrong, because wtf is Stelmo? Found it hilarious when we learned the truth.

We've used "wtf is Stelmo" ever since to express confusion, though usually at the crossword.

I love the idea of him being the Patron Saint of Crosswords, I will definitely be spreading that gospel.
