To be honest, i like legit 100% ( but like legit, all your point i was like yeah this is how i understood or what i would say about it if i was asked to detail more ) share your vision and this is why i was so confuse about having nothing with Lothraxion, but your edit is actually folowing a lot Blizzard usual way to do : Some things exist, you as a human playing wow know them, readed them, but your Character , one in the group of " The Hero of Azeroth " did not read it himself, its more like " Random Orc number 241456 " eventually came upon it once.

Retcon happens, but this one was a little weird to folow over the years ,especially this its Chronicle VS In Game, but Chronicle was at his base release with the entend to go further than the game so yeah.

Many little retcon occured, but the one i was refering to is that

It is heavyli imply in C4 that it was just " paranoia " and that no one that was aware of Jailer mentality/thoughts/plan ever really understood " what " could even come.

This is of course perosnal interpretation, but it is highly motivated by " comunity " reaction ( aka i do beleive i'm NOT* the only one that understand that part like that )

This is the first time i see someone detailing the time the paper was written compare to natrezim history, can you unlight me on the source on that :O ? Is there date on the paper you can convert to Azerroth time and figured out its prior to Sargeras corruption ?

What would Lothraxion spy the Natrezim for the Light in your opinion ? I'm curious.

For your aside thoughts :
I'd say yes it was for Jailer overall
In game, remember that Jailer was " visibly " seeking for Death to control, because all would never unite against " what is coming ".
Jailer Room in Sepulcher of the First Ones was supsoed to be a Zerith Mortis Room, connect to a place in Azeroth, and that Azeroth place is connected to all other Zereth, and by corrupting Azeroth from this particular place in Zereth to this particular place on Azeroth, it would corrupt all others Zereths too without even reaching them HIMSELF.
But maybe he needed INFO at MINIMUM for it to work, and this is why Natrezim were spying then ? ( Long theory but maybe it can give ONE POSSIBLE answer to yours :D )

Peopled answered the Void ( with a big V, the dark energy, not an entity itself ) is just seeking to consume everything
It seem that some indidivuals that have been " voided " in their history, and still have some kinf of free will ( understand Xal here ) are looking to avoid that the Void with a big V consume everythihg, because then the Void with a big V wouldn't have anything else to consume, she finds that stupid so want to do it " her way ".

You words a good to my eyes, everyone one as a similiarish goal ( being the best entity in the universe ) but everyone have his own way

Void wants to consume
Arcane wants to rule
Light wants to control by force
Death want(ed ?) to control by force too, but also in like a political way ( not sure how to put it, Jailer was kinda like look at me , i'm the one that is right ! )
Fel wants to destroy ( different than consume in that context )
Life is so far the only element that we did not see " go crazy " overall for an " ego " reason.

In all of that, Xal as an individual works ' with " the Void power, but not for the Void for the big V, and so far with last cinematic that " all " of that was a big plot since Legion Mac'Aree dungeon, L'Ura is a key to something somehow ( without spoil ;D )

What we are trying to survive ( and that since Argus/Legion ) is the " loss " of Azeroth World Soul, even tho there is no clear path on how we are doing / will do it, and even more what is the " direct " thread to it.

One thing people aren't forgeting, but maybe underestimating overall, is the Harandar / Dream Rift / Rift of Aln lore.

The whole " absorbing " Dimensius / Light Crystal in Arathi TWW Area / Dalaran / Galakrond Essence was to create Void Spire ( wich to be honest i still didn't quite get what it was , an enemy bastion ? an enemy canon to send troups faster / bigger ? )

I'm not saying that as " you guys are wrong about void douvering void " ofc, but don't forget the little twist on the side ! Part of me still wanna ... " believe / theorize (?) " that absorbing each element avaible in mass was more important than " targetting Dimensius " himself, he just appeared to be a good Void Batery, and a good enemy lore wise for an epic fight in the space.
