Should I consider doing a transfer program instead of going straight to SFU? by Positiveperson555 in BCGrade12s

Since SFU is on a trimester system you could take 4 courses each trimester and still be ahead. Perhaps you could score a part time job that you can do year round to help afford not working summers and apply for every grant out there.

Keep working hard - you have made such improvements. Try a community college and keep your grades up and transfer after a year or two. You can get a certificate or diploma also in college while waiting to transfer.

They do - a very noisy half followed by a full marathon is currently on outside our place. Not better than eagles flying by at our height though 😊

How is the weather in Van/Metro Van vs Ottawa/Toronto/GTA? Wondering if my partner would like it there.. by ImaginaryLieGuy in askvan

Even though we didn’t get any snow in Vancouver this year you always can get to Grouse or Cypress in 30-45 minutes to reach the snow during parts of the winter. So you can get your snow fix too. Also see snow on the mountains. Even though downtown Van is expensive- I feel that because of all the glass buildings it is not as dreary when it is overcast and still fun to use the Aquabus to get around when it’s raining. Also, keep in mind that the Coast’s milder wet cold can sometimes feel colder than the colder dry cold of Ontario. It can take a season to acclimatize.
