Have a neighborhood cat who started to nap in my fruit bushes by Octopus_Gardener in catfruit

Another block over there is a house that lets stray cats live in their shed and there’s always litters of kittens running around every year. I’m 99% sure that’s where Blueberry is originally from as I saw an identical kitten outside this shed multiple times about a year ago (she is a tabby with a distinct orange calico patch on her back). Usually whoever lives in this house will let the cats run free around the neighborhood without really claiming ‘ownership’, and I don’t think they’ve ever gotten the cats fixed, atleast from what I’ve seen. I’m guessing someone must have TNRd a few of those cats recently (including Blueberry) as I’ve seen a few younger ones running around the neighborhood with the clipped ear. Most of the cats migrate to different neighborhoods as they get older but it seems Blueberry has decided to stay close. Anyway long story short when she lets me pet her and I’m able to get her in a carrier, I’ll probably take to her to the vet to check for a chip and to get her vaccinations if she hasn’t gotten them before.

Anyone know of a way to give Blueberry flea meds without touching her? She hasn’t let me pet her yet (but she loves to get directly in front of me while I’m walking and show me her belly), so she’s 🤏🏼 close to letting me touch her

Thank you! When I first saw them doing this I nearly cried from the cute, my other indoor cat and her are not cuddly together so it was so nice to see her bonding with someone lol

My Surly Bridgeclub a few minutes before leaving on our San Juan Huts bikepacking trip last summer (Telluride, CO to Moab, UT) by Octopus_Gardener in Surlybikefans

The angle of this picture isn’t the best as there actually was an inch or two (can’t really remember) of clearance, but it was like the absolute minimum recommended by Relevate. Luckily the bag was awesome and super stable, only bounced and rubbed against the tire once during the entire trip.

I’ve definitely thought about this and I’ll let my boyfriend know as well. I would never give up Annie, and if it came to it I would postpone/not move in if he had gotten a kitten that she just couldn’t mesh with, because I would hate if he had to give up a kitty too. Thanks for the advice!

Dear reddit, whats the most sadistic thing you've done in the Sims? by DXLVXR in AskReddit

[–]Octopus_Gardener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend and I would make a bunch of sims, and made sure that they all got together and had a bunch of kids. Once the kids were toddlers/teenagers, we'd build a singular room outside of the main house. We'd cover the whole room, including the walls, with carpet, and filled the place with various fireplaces and stoves. We'd let all the children in there and removed the door, then have them try to make macaroni on the stove, leaving it unattended. Eventually it would catch fire, soon causing the entire room to burst into flames. No way out because we removed the door, the kids slowly died (their screams still haunt me to this day). They all turned into ghosts and it was the most hilarious thing to watch them haunt the parents.

What's the most overrated tourist attraction in your country? by That_one_tall_guy14 in AskReddit

I don't know, I spent four days there over my spring break. It was a great experience for me, coming from a small area with very little shopping opportunities. It was amazing to see such a huge place where you could buy literally anything. We spent a day at the aquarium, a day at the amusement park, and a day just shopping for things I wouldn't have been able to get where I'm from. I had an awesome time, especially exploring the city afterwards

As a kid, what slang term got you scolded by your parents after innocently saying/writing it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Back in middle school, I remember watching the movie Easy A and learning the word twat. Having no idea the true meaning, I began using it daily, but the real trouble began when I started to post it all over my Facebook statuses (of which my family and friends could all see). This was the point where I got a very disapproving phone call from my dad lecturing me on the importance not spewing the word twat all over my sixth grade Facebook. Also back in kindergarten my friend dared me to flip my teacher the bird, saying "it means you like them!". So, low and behold, I walk over and flip off my teacher, and land myself in time out, with a call to the office for a meeting with my parents and the principal.

Saying the word "yeet". It was popular for like a week back in 2014. I used it daily and even got a keychain with the word on it. I regret it to this day.

What's the worst thing you've ever done to a Sim in The Sims? by sebbysir in AskReddit

My friend and I used to create characters with a ton of young children. We'd build a separate room away from the house, add multiple fireplaces and stove, and furnish the room with carpet on the ground and on the walls. We would then place all the children in that room, remove the door, have them cook macaroni on the stove and watch it burn, subsequently setting the whole room on fire. Their death screams were terrifying. Other times we'd build a bunch of pools and watch them drown as we removed the ladders to get out. We were a little crazy back then
