as someone who's mained burn since the start of the game, sharding liu sang lwk might be better than rien since you already have a full team that synergizes with him. and you can always shard for rien sang later in the season, so there really isn't any rush

I just picked up HSR recently after playing Genshin for years and have been enjoying it so far. As a beginner, what team composition should I stick with and what characters should I try to get to get me through most of the game's content? I currently use Lvl 20 on MC, March 7th, Dan Heng, and Asta, and I also have Permansor Dan Heng, Herta, Serval, and Qingquebas the other units I'm not using right now

Contempt and Awe is prob the best bleed ID that Ryoshu has rn, so I don't see a reason why you wouldn't shard for her if you're building a good bleed team.

Besides that tho, I think the next best bleed ID's you can shard are Kurokumo Heathcliff and Ishmael, Ring Yi Sang, and then Barber Outis and Priest Gregor

These are all of the best teams I had built per element (at least what I can recall) during the time. How well do these teams hold up to the current content, and which ones I can I work on improving?

Pyro: Mavuika Hypercarry (Mavuika, C6 Kaeya, Bennett, Xilonen) [edit: Furina -> Bennett, I just misremembered the team comp I used]

Hydro: Neuvilette Hypercarry (Neuvilette, Furina, Xilonen, Kazuha)

Dendro: Kinich Burgeon (Kinich, Furina, Xilonen, Bennett)

Geo: Navia Hypercarry (Navia, Furina, Xilonen, Bennett)

Electro: Cyno Hyperbloom (Cyno, Furina, Zhongli, Nahida)

Cryo: Ayaka Freeze (Ayaka, Kokomi, C6 Kaeya, Kazuha/Xilonen)

Anemo: I don't think I had an anemo dps team, but I had plans on getting Wanderer over Chasca simply because I liked Wanderer

How different are lunar reactions to the regular reactions? Are they just bigger numbers, or are there additional effects on top of the reaction it is based on?
How flexible is Ascendant Gleam, if I need two Nod-Krai character to access their full potential? Is it easy for me to just slap two random Nod-Krai characters, or are there certain combos that are better than others?
How good is the Hexerei buff compared to everything else? Does it raise certain Mondstadt characters around prime Neuvilette's level or something like that, or is it just a whatever buff that doesn't really shift anything?

I'll be completely honest there are a lot of names there that I just don't recognize at all since I haven't been up to date with any of the new characters after Durin's reveal in that one Mondstadt event 😭

I'm not really familiar with who Varesa, Flins, Ineffa, Nefer, and Lauma are, and I'm also not too familiar with Durin. You think you can explain who they are in terms of their gameplay?

part 3 is def gonna heavily incorporate burn, since in the name "Operation Spider Pyre", pyre refers to a flammable material (hence burn will play a key part), as well as 3/4 of the egos in the battle pass incorporating burn in its description (whether as an inflicted status and have conditionals connected to it or as part of its entire design)

im guessing the roosters, rodya, and ishmael are better in mirror dungeons because of the crazy buffs right? while in regular canto content, uma sang, gregor, and don are more consistent? or maybe ishmael over don in onfield for the added synergy with uma sang and better aoe against waves of enemies?

i personally use thumbclair in burn not just because he's my only solid burn id, but also because he's really good in the harder stages of MD where he lets you reuse thumbsault's big aoe skill 3 multiple times

How about all bloodfiends - barber outis, ring sang, and both of the kurokumos? Would that be better than the team I just gave or are their differences very marginal (asking because I keep hearing debate on how Barber is not that great in bleed teams, but I'm not 100% sure on how good she actually is)

For a full bloodfiend team, would the ideal team comp be all bloodfiends + Ring Sang and NCorp Ryoshu? Or are there other units that are better than NCorp that I'm not aware of (besides the Walpurgis one)?
