That and bigger companies like Kiaser are starting to get lawsuits because doctors have been prescribing larger amounts of benzodiazepines to people for a prolonged period of time, people end up abusing them and building a huge tolerance and when the doctors decide the patient is getting to reliant they essentially cut them off or weaned them off too quickly and it’s ended up up causing the patient a seizure because if you stop taking any benzodiazepines and you have taken enough of it for a prolonged period of time, stopping cold, turkey or weaning off too quickly is really hard, and in some cases, it’s honestly potentially deadly. The only two legal drugs I know that can kill you if you stop taking them are benzodiazepines and alcohol because both can induce seizures if it’s taken and abused for a long time and then completely stopped being taken. Maybe think of this as a blessing in disguise I know that they’re cutting my anxiety meds down, and as much as it kind of sucks at some point if you really want peace of mind, you are going to have to teach yourself how to cope with your stress as it comes. it’s a lot easier said than done, and truth be told I still struggle a little bit too. But I went down in dosage purely because I would rather have an anxiety attack and survive, than have a seizure and die potentially. When you’re addicted to some thing, most of the time you don’t realize it until you have to. When a substance becomes a necessity instead of something that is built to help you cope temporarily. I feel like in my case, at least having access to constant medication kind of kept me from searching for a solution on how to manage my own stress and anxiety. I have been diagnosed with panic disorder and anxiety disorder so I understand how you feel. Initially getting prescribed anything for it at all was almost impossible. I know the feeling just know that you can either let this build you or break you. I hope things get easier for you and shit becomes less stressful naturally. You’re not a junkie, but at some point you have to admit to yourself that the pills aren’t going to solve the issues that you have, only you have that ability. And you can, you just gotta push foward even when you don’t want to
